Hey guys I may be starting a grow but I am wondering if I clipped a lot of the leaves so they were squared off at each end would you think that someone with not much common knowledge of weed would notice what it was and also will that negatively affect the plant because I have heard in some cases it s better to do so because it makes bud sites more visible to light.?
I've got 2 outdoor plants, and i hung real tomatoes off the stakes, worked well enough to have the real estate inspect the property..... If you want something long term, best to plant with something that looks alot like it. Like tomatoes or something else. Or you can hang plastic tomatoes on the plant. Cutting the leaves, i've heard good and bad, more light penetration but messing with the normal plants development??? not sure on this one.
well is it okay to cut off the really big fan leaves because they make it so obvious it is a marijuana plant
The whole thing is a marijuana plant. Move it to a less obvious location. I wouldn't be cutting off healthy fan leaves until half way through flowering. Fan leaves play a part in the health and life of the plant.
Do fruit bearing or "vegitable" bearing plants such as tomato plants need a flowering period to produce fruits or they just veg the whole way?
Well for starters a Mh bulb is better for vegging, as a HPS is better for Flowering. If you can get a switchable system that would be best. As for the 400 W I think you would be able to get about 3-4 Small sized plants, or two medium plants, or 1 huge plant.
