my grow room gets a bit cold with lights off what heating is best for it would a fan heater do the job ?
I dont like fanheaters as the buds tends to get dry and shit. I know it sound like an good idea as youll get a heater and a fan at the same time, but trust me, its a no no. Just get a little normal radiator heater. There about 30 euro.
Me personally I have had no problems with fan heaters except for the power it drains and tripping the breakers. If the lights aren't on then that shouldn't happen tho. I agree that radiator heaters are good but fan heaters are cheaper and if its a small room, a radiator would make it way too hot. Just keep a fan heater several feet away from your plants and you shouldn't have any problems.
Run a space heater on a timer I think works best. Been doing it for years. 30 min. off, 15 min. on. Or whatever keeps your room at the temp you need. But like marcog357 said they pull lots of power. That's why I put it on a timer, so it doesn't kick on when the lights are on. That is a def. breaker pop.
