Heat question

  1. using 2 x 300 w daul spec CFL, scrog style stealth grow, im finding a lot of heat building up over time, my question is this:

    to cool lamps

is it better to bring cold air in via fan and direct at lights?

    or

is it better to extract the hot air from around the lamps via extraction.

    cheers

  2. both and yet the former, a constant air flow is vital, not only to remove heat, but as so the plants can actually breathe, read up stomata, and keep a small pc or 6 inch osc. fan in the grow room

Remove the heat from building up, by venting out thru the roof, and have a passive air hole at the plants base, this removes the light heat, allow the plant to breathe and removes the stink, from the area.

If using tubing try to avoid having any kinks at all, as makes noise and cuts air flow

I have recently tried 2 x 125 w  6U dual spec CFL, and the temps are still quite high.
