Heat difference between MH & HPS bulbs

    Is there any heat difference that I could see when I switch from a 1000 Watt Eye Hortilux MH to 1000 Watt Eye Hortilux HPS.

    I can tell you what the difference between 300W MH and 600W MH - 3 degrees of Fahrenheit in 3x3x6' tent ...... I am doubted you gonna feel any difference between 1000W MH and same wattage HPS.

    Right on, just wondering if a different spectrum produces more heat.

    I couldnt tell the difference. The main reason why alot just keep HPS in including myself when I was using HPS rather then use MH then go to HPS is once the bulb was in and venting system all hooked up was a pain in the ass to switch it out again. Being that you can grow well with HPS from start to finish just was a easier thing to do. I actually only used my MH bulb for one grow.
