Hearing Heartbeat while High

Discussion in 'Cannabis Consumption Q&A & Tips' started by ScoobyCool, Aug 28, 2012.

  1. Anyone ever experience this? lol. I've been smoking for a while, but for the first time ever, I actually heard my heartbeat. It was actually the only thing I could focus on, it was really loud. And it felt like the sound was trapped inside of my head, and it really hurt my ears for some reason. Also made me feel like I had to throw-up.

It lasted for about a minute, and then I just suddenly stopped hearing it. my puking feeling went away, and my ears stopped hurting (Each time my heart beat, my ears felt like there were popping out, in rhythm with my heartbeat.).

My heart was racing really fast, aswell. So, has anybody ever experienced this? It's cool hearing your own heart beat, but it's also the worse feeling ever.

  2. It sounds like palpitations. You might want to ask your doctor.

  3. or smoke less dank!

  4. Yeah, it's most likely palpitations. I get them too except one time I had a bad one because I mixed 2 painkillers (I have a bad back), an energy drink, and 2 fat bong bowls. My heartbeat was fluctuating between 140-160 for an hour. It felt the same way. I heard it and it was shaking my whole body. I had to go to the hospital because my body started to go numb on one side, but they gave me a sedative. They said it was most likely because of the caffeine from the energy drink. Did you drink any caffeinated drinks that night?

Well last night I ate a footlong sub from Subway, and a chocolate milk.

And when I woke up this morning the first thing I did was blaze, didn't even eat anything until I got the munchies while I was high.

I don't know if it was palpitations or not, but I hope that I don't have to experience it again. I mean it wasn't THAT BAD, but I didn't necessary like it..

  6. let me ask a few things.
Do you have allergy to milk?
    2. Do you suffer from paranoia or anxiety sober/or not.
    3. Does your heart skip beats? Can you feel it shaking your body per heartbeat or only once every awhile?

  7. I've had this for about a year now. it used to scare the shit out of me. But i noticed if i went outside while stoned it kinda toned out and stopped.
And ever since i've had this a hit or 2 makes me completely stoned so. Upsideee i'm thinking lol.

  8. This is the worst feeling that can happen in my experience anyways. And Yea I have had this lol

  9. Well, you probably just concentrated on your heartbeat and made yourself paranoid, so your heart rate picked up. Plus when you're high, your senses become enhanced. Unless you have an existing heart condition and you aren't too old, it's nothing to worry about. They happen to a lot of people.
