Heard after germinating and putting in pot, use no light?

    I watched some videos on youtube of growing that after germinating and after putting them in a cup of soil like 1/3 inch deep to not use light till it sprouts up...is this true?

    prob how last one came out of soil and said "fuck i hate light" and went back into the soil making a loop ha
