Okay, I had a pretty nasty infection a while back that caused me to be in the hospital. I'm trying to change my eating habits and everything, but I'm not sure how to start. My blood pressure is kind of out of whack trying to watch that too. I cut down on smoking cigarettes by a large sum which was a huge step for me just because I didn't want to have another mini-stroke lol. I had really high blood pressure from the infection which caused me to have the mini stroke in the first place so I have to really watch and monitor everything I do. THANK GOD it was only a mini stroke, I really dodged a bullet. Anyways, help me out - open to all solutions. Just trying to get into a healthy regimen
Can you exercise? I don't know if you can or can't. But if you can, I would suggest doing a 30 minute walk and jog. What I mean by this is, you want to start off walking and lets say every 4 minutes you will do a 1 minute jog. Then every 1 month you can bump it up to 2 min jog and build up to the point where you can jog for 30 minutes or some where you are comfortable( It will diffidently lower your blood pressure). I would also stay away from white sugar, white carbohydrates ( it usually all goes to your belly not to mention can cause other problems) and stick to whole wheat and turbinado sugar. I would also strongly urge you to not eat foods with artificial ingredients . I would also try to stick to a specific meal pattern that suits you, so don't gobble on stuff every few minutes.
Oh, I can do all the things I used to just been quite fatigued. The stroke didn't cause any serious damage to me. I exercise when I can I just get very tired easily. I'm recovering very well, almost fully recovered. Any foods that you recommend I may start a list for next time I go grocery shopping. also I'm only 20 years old so I have youth on my side .
