Health Care Fail - 60 New Hospitals Cancelled!!!

Discussion in 'Politics' started by maxrule, Apr 13, 2010.

  1. I warned that this would be a consequence of Obama's health debacle.

Before long you will have to wait six months and fly to New Jersey to visit one of the few remaining hospitals left.

When going to the link on Drudge it says server busy.

"Further, these 260 doctor-owned hospitals in 38 states provide 55,000 jobs, $2.4 billion in payroll and pay $509 million in federal taxes, according to the PHA"

  2. Obamacare'd

  3. "An AHA study from 2008 says that physician-owned hospitals “lessen patient access to emergency and trauma case;” “damage the financial health of full-service hospitals and lead to cutbacks in service;” “are not more efficient than full service community hospitals;” “use physician-owners to steer patients;” “cherry pick the most profitable patients;” and “provide limited or no emergency services.”

Meanwhile, one AHA fact sheet asserts that physician-owned orthopedic and surgical hospitals costs are 20 percent to 30 percent higher than average hospitals. Further, these hospitals just lead to higher profits for doctors, the AHA asserts."

That doesn't sound like something we want to save/support. Did you see any data to the contrary?

  4. Sounds like pure weapons grade bolognium to me. What a load of socialist bull crap.

Those hospitals provide a service for people who have money and wish to purchase that particular service. Not to mention the jobs that have been lost.

How is it hurting anyone when doctors make money? Now the people who wanted to take advantage of these services will be forced to look elsewhere.

How does that help those local communities?

Surgical costs can only go up as a result of closing these facilities.

How does closing a hospital provide more and better health care for anyone?

  5. This is what we call a "feature" and not a "bug."

ObamaCare socialism is working as intended.

  6. Your Research answers your questions man:

Are you unable to find any evidence to the contrary or was "it sound like socialist B.S." what you considered proof? That wouldn't shock me considering your standard for proof seems to be whatever you have faith in

  7. I don't need to research anything. That is pure bull shit and it only takes a thimble full of common sense to understand it.

Closing those facilities hurts the economy and does nothing to help anyone with low income.

“lessen patient access to emergency and trauma case;” - How?

Explain to me how this works.

I don't understand how anyone can claim that these private hospitals would lessen patient access to emergency care.

I think this is propaganda and bull shit meant only to help support an asinine anti-capitalist Obama bill in the face of mounting criticism.

“are not more efficient than full service community hospitals;”

Bull shit, bull shit, bull shit, and more bull shit.

They would have run themselves out of business in a free market economy if this were remotely true.

People with money were willing to risk that money on the belief that these hospitals would be profitable.

Why do politicians and the wealthy use these facilities instead of community hospitals then?

I'd like to see the full study and research the names behind it.

This research study sounds like it was written by communists for communists.

  8. provide limited or no emergency services? ever heard of an ambulance company

“ I ’m strongly in favor of legitimately designed specialty hospitals in which a focus on a specific set of skills and procedures enables doctors and staff to maximize their efficiency, [but]…the greatest dangers arise when doctors have a direct financial interest in a specialty hospital.”

  10. A much more involved group of people did a study about something, that you posted, and you are going to discredit their man hours without so much as goggling another study to ensure you are right?

You say you want to know more about the study you posted... Look it up... it doesn't take more than a thimble full of common sense to know that
