Heading out to amsterdam

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by Azman, Jul 31, 2012.

  1. Yo blades, im heading out to amsterdam in october and just wondered how the coffeeshop scene is doing as ive been hearing that they're slowly closing down, i went out a couple of years ago and everything was great loads of coffeeshops freindly staff etc just wondering if its still the same?

  2. your lucky man amsterdam is the stoners motherland , hope you enjoy yourself But as for the coffee shop scene Idk whats going on downthere my friend went down there in April (Pre 420 weekend) and said that its still the same awesome ole amsterdam with tons of weed and dope ass coffee shops.

  3. No not closing down at all, I was there May and June, the new laws surrounding tourists will never happen when I was there a lot of the coffee shops had signs up in the windows saying NO WEIT PASS tourists welcome.

It is not the same as it used to be but its still good, I go 2-3 times a year as it is only a 40-50 minute plane journey but if I lived in the states I would only go once every couple of years it must be mad travelling all that way just to smoke a joint in peace.

You will find that people are more on edge at least thats what I noticed.
