hay dave's wife does it again man

Hi I'm Lisa, dave's wife.
I am growing my self some seeds here .

I pretty much just stole all of Dave's stuff.
he's got some plants flowering right now.
and I'm gettin sick of him posting about his plants and doin nothin but takin care of his plants so I'm takin over the veg part of his little 'operation homegrow'

so.I got myself his container that he always uses

 

he accidently made them because of a hermie.
pollenatted one of his best female plants.

 

I'll keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't get too hot.

 

I'll veg under this CF don't know the wattage off hand but Dave says he'll get a bigger one next time he goes to the grocery store.

Dave made a tinfoil reflector

 

for the first bit then then if I want to switch to 18/6
Dave wired up a timer

 

once these babys pop they go into styrofoam cups .

so, one day since placing seeds in paper towel
nothing yet........

let's see what happens

well here it comes
first seed sprouted this morning, was placed in germ sat. afternoon. that's approx. 38 hrs, not bad the rest should start popin soon too.

so we put it 1/2" into our soil in a 16oz cup and propped er up under the light.

 

just now found two more sprouts.
that's three within about 48 hrs.

they got the same thing as the first one.

we'll show a group shot next post

 

a hermie bag seed plant pollenated my female (sorry don't know the strain of each but the female was very resinous with big buds.

there's a pic of one of the buds of the mother plant at about 4 weeks into flowering

 

we have a higher wattage one standing by, I'll look for a high wattage one yet too since I(Dave) currently have some fems in flower.
those are under the 600 watt high pressure sodium

were gettin impatiant stll have 3 or 4 weeks till those are done so we'll have to veg these under floros till the flowering light is available.

(can't interrupt their cycle....)

this is going to be slow going till we get some action so any q's just ask.

the last one got thrown in the house plant.

I don't recomend this as a rule but Lisa put 2 seeds each in two more cups.
we plan on keeping only the 4 best ones anyway
so here's how things look now.

just play the waiting game now for a while

 

the 20-20-20 contains micro nutes
also a certain dosage of that brings our water pH down to about 6.5-6.7
the 5-1-1 fish gives extra N during veg.

just before flowering I'll give less N and more P, at this point I subsitute 15-30-15 with micro nutes ( this raises the pH of our water) I only use this once or twice throughout the whole grow

I then use the 20-20-20 very very rarely and give the 0-12-12 every other watering.
I determine what is needed when by a combination of , keeping a record of what has been given and when, experience, and by testing the soil periodically.

we wind up with something that looks like this in a few weeks

 

trying to keep the chemicals out more or less
I also have liquide bone meal 0-12-0(organic bloom boost)
to increase P during flowering.

to tell ya the truth I'm just too damn cheap to buy the expensive ferts from the grow shop.

it's working well for now and the smoke is smooth, I flush 2 weeks or so proir to flowering too .
