Look for something native to the Hawaiian Islands. Look online or try the Library or bookstore I hope that's and idea for something to grow besides......more cannabis
Lmfao. Glad you enjoyed it. Hey rask, grow some delicious berries. Mhhmm I love em' Lol. I think it will be really fun getting baked first and then picking berries and eating them.

think you could post up some specific info and pics on your banana tree? just curious as of how to grow em and if its possible to keep em fairly small so they don't require too much water and i wanna know how yours is doing
^^ Here's a link to banana-tree.com w/ grow info Banana Plant Growing Instructions and Care ANd here's a bit of the article..... The first priority to consider when growing banana is to use the proper soil. It is very important to use a well draining soil MIXTURE and 20% PERLITE should be added to it to assure that you have good draining soil. Do not use heavy soils when growing banana such as potting soil, or soil from a yard. Plant the banana rhizome upright and be sure the roots are well covered and the rhizome has about 1/2" of the base covered with soil. We advise that you water and fertilize banana at the same time using any type of balanced fertilizer to help grow banana. Bananas are heavy feeders so we suggest that you fertilize very lightly each time that you water with the exception being that you do not fertilize if you are not seeing active growth.( Balanced fertilizer means - a fertilizer that has three numbers on the label ). After your initial watering we would not water again until your soil is dry to a 1/2" depth. ( Use your finger to test it ). Please do not expect this to be a plant that you "water once a week". If you water once a week it is unlikely that you will have success growing this rhizome. And a couple pics......
thx tex, i googled a bit but didn't ever see that particular site, i decided that even though it'd be possible to grow here with the right setup, i decided it could be a little too difficult to keep properly watered, interesting enough to learn about though
if you dont mind a take over for beuty and froot, plant watermellons! whenever I have gone to hawaii and seen cucurbits like watermellons and pumpkins growing, they are just INCREDIBLE WTF its like I grow here in cali a giant pumpkin and it grows twice the size of a pumpkin in hawaii before that thing is growing fruit!
