Since Gaddafi's murder has anyone been keeping up with Libya? How is Libya? Is it a much better place to live now that the MSM's Monster Gaddafi is dead and gone? Are the people happier now that they are free from Gaddafi? Lets have a look.

Here's the very recent news about Libya, like hours old news...

UPDATE 2-Gaddafi supporters seize control of Libyan town

The Libyan people have been protesting the NTC. But first, do you know who the National Transitional Council, or NTC, are?

So the rebel group that fought against Gaddafi is the NTC, and the people want them out, now.

So there's your update folks on Libya, all is not well.

  2. Wow, you mean our interventionist foreign policy hasn't made Libya safe for democracy?

  3. Nope, apparently we're suck at spreading Freedom and Democracy. We're better at murder and chaos.

  4. Perhaps we should send billions in foreign aid to Libya to be seized by the warring factions for power, er I mean help the populace.

  5. Yeah fuck it, why not, it's only money, the Fed can just print more anyway.

  6. did someone say print moar moneiyyyyiyiyiyyy??!?!!?

gaddafi should have known better then to try to take on the family directly like that,

  8. No, you won't, because that's made up, bullshit, fake, never happened, etc. The last soldiers dispatched from Iraq went to a median in Kuwait to wait departure back to the states. Just fear mongering as usual from AJ/PressTV/RT

Anyways, is Libya a better off place? Considering Gaddafi would usually publicly execute political detractors on live TV who disagreed with his "Green Book" political-philosophy religion or failed to accept his massive cult of personality, I'm sure it's a "better off place". Though that wasn't the point of intervention, the point was to stop genocide on a mass scale committed by Gaddafi's regime that could have truly lasted for a year+ (see: Syria). With that in mind, it's logical to say it was a successful operation.

  9. surely there must be video clips of this, since it was on live TV?

    can we get a link?

    anyway..

Libyans, stfu and enjoy your freedom!

Most public executions were broadcasted on TV during the 70's and 80's so it's likely you won't find much, but if you're still interested in the archive found:

Have fun. Just another brutal authoritarian dictator operating under the guise of "socialism"

  11. So how do you explain this Arnack?

Gaddafi owned the western cities (Tripoli) and the anti-gaddafi forces owned the eastern cities (a result of hundreds of years of tribal rivalries). Gaddafi chose to bomb and initiate an offensive on the eastern cities in the hopes to remain in full control of the land.

I explain it by saying Gaddafi had support by a fraction of his population, but that doesn't justify mass genocide. In return, I'd ask how do you explain wide military and political defections of ex-gaddafi regime members? How do you explain the use of cities and towns as human shields to protect military equipment? How do you explain the carpet bombings of cities under rebel control? How do you explain evidence of mass torture and genocide, indiscriminate killing and so on? How do you attempt to justify an insane man?

  13. Intervening in Libya on the pretense that Ghadaffi was about to commit genocide is establishment propaganda to justify the ousting of someone who was attempting to create a gold standard while simultaneously demanding oil for gold. All this interventionism is ridiculous and should not be tolerated by the American people.

I'd be open to reading articles that explain why Ghadaffi would commit genocide on his own people at such sensitive and controversial time considering his gold plans and the history of similar plans of oil for gold (Saddam Hussein).

  14. Gaddafi's gold standard was a myth perpetrated by RussiaToday, no other legitimate source was cited on such story. The real fact is there were uprisings, Gaddafi killed a bunch of innocent people and censored state media in an attempt to halt the dissidents, France and the UK convinced the US to support a no fly zone, NATO bombs military equipment and control centers of the Gaddafi regime, Gaddafi is killed, the end.

  15. I take it you mean to say, "just another brutal authoritarian dictatorship operating under the guise of socialism?"

  16. Libya is very unstable and violent in some areas. So is Egypt. I haven't given up on them yet, because such a radical change in politics after decades of dictatorship never comes peacefully or easily. Never. It is too deeply embedded into society. A violent transitional period shouldn't be surprising. What happens in the long run is what matters.

United Africa? Such crazy talk, 3rd world countries indebted to the IMF sounds much more preferable.

  18. Just felt like adding that little tidbit there...

  19. There's a cost benefit analysis (as always with war) that took place when bombing control centers and ammunition holds, though the benefits obviously outweighed the costs when you take a look Gaddafi's scorched earth tactics and his offensives against the eastern, peaceful cities. 100% incomparable to Gaddafi's civilian count, anyways.
