Have I run into a deficiency?

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by Jwr1002, Nov 6, 2020.

  1. This a CBG strain called the white. I started flowering on oct 7 and have had RH at 50% for the last 2 months ish, temps riding 70. Ive been feeding half the recommended bloom nutes(fox farm) and the smallest addition of nitrogen, every other week. IMG_2570.JPG IMG_2571.JPG

  2. looks like it might be fighting against mites...Top left corner of your pic seems to have a lot of spots on the leaves...kind of hard to tell though. thats my free thought of the day for you.

  3. are you checking your ph ? Looks like its allover the place on this plant .
To high to low its never correct . I am seeing warnings all over .
Unless its very cold in that tent .. But it would have different signs ...
checking ph after adding nutrients ?

  4. My PH meter is broken so haven’t been checking. Using tap water plus fox farm nutes, and it is pretty cold in the tent most of the time. During the day is rides 70, sometimes though it spends all day at 66-68, nighttime always 66

  6. I stand by my original assumption .
If your fox farms is a powder form it will lower the ph drastic low levels .
I am talking under 4.00 get some form of ph checker even the drops work well what i use .

  7. I use fox farm liquid. What’s the name of the problem here?

  9. I feel like a plant that is fighting a pest issue will not look good no matter how much feed you give it.

You dont' think some of the leaves are spotted? IE- some kind of mite damage....

  10. I’ve checked for mites over and over and nothing. The other plant in the tent has no signs, no spots, nothing. I have a fungus gnat problem, on and off the whole grow, and they’re going away slowly

  11. If your not checking ph then that could be your problem unless you were using supersoil. Other then that its probably just a deficiency. Probably need to up your cal/mag. Calcium deficiency can look like bugs with all the spotting and I believe mag starts yellowing in the veins like that.

  12. it is not Ph .you are in a high carbon medium . it has massive buffering capacity and extremely high resistive to change. it's called the cation exchange capacity. it's never ph unless you are in rockwool or a water based system.
it would be easy if it was nutrient lockup from high medium EC from lack of overflow. high medium ec ,with higher readings than 2x the input ec, will cause that. just water until it over flows a bit and do a reading of the waste . if your input is 800 then waste should be about 50% higher at 1200 EC . if it's more then that it should be lowered by more flushing WITH 1/2 strength solution.
now ....if it is not that my first thought, before the EC , was fusarium oxysporum. the worst of all virus as far as I am concerned . the buds grow normally but then just stop and the leaves turn yellow and start to wilt and are kinda tough and leathery . it spreads through the other plants fast .when you cut a stalk down it is like it's hollow and super light sne the bud did not mature .. I really hope that is not it but it looks like it in the photo .
high ec in soil can elevate the issue. there is nothing you can do for fusarium. it will either eat everything or not, if that is what it . good luck .I hope I am wrong about the virus. ( then it's ec)

  13. How would temps affect this? They are getting down to 60 at night

  14. marijuanna is extremely hardy once it gets going. it routinely breaks snow cover in Nepal and Himalayan mountains where kush originated from that is used for hash production.
I am not saying that you can disregard exposure, just saying they can survive 32 let alone 60 .
I.just took my last plant down Oct 31 here in Toronto. it snowed 2 day later .I had several frosts. no issue whatsoever. light frost is not an issue until it becomes nightly .
