Have I gone to far?

  1. I have many mental disorders such as depression, anxiety, OCD, bipolar, ect. Well I havn't smoked anything (not even cigs!) for about a month and I dream almost every night about weed. Its not like I am having withdraw from it (since that would be just stupid and impossible) but the problem is that its the only thing that truly makes me feel happy. My friends and boyfriend don't even make me feel as happy as it does. Is this a bad thing? I mean have I gotten obsessed, and what should I do or is it ok to allow it to make me happy?

    I am not gonna quite smoking but I just wanted to know what people thought...
     
  2. First of all, be thankful that it's one of the safest recreational drugs you're dreaming of.

    Secondly, find a hobby that can grow into a passion. There are plenty of things you can do in this world, just jump at the first thing that interests you. If halfway down the road, you've lost all interest, who cares just quit it!

    Bonus points if it's a self-constructive hobby, like exercise! :D

    In my opinion, self-discovery is the most important thing in life. You mentioned being depressed, why not deeply search for the things that make you happy? If you don't know what tickles your excitement, lust, and warmth; what is your life even about?

    Don't get blazed just get that little buzz.
     
  4. I'm actually in the exact same boat as you. I'm constantly depressed and have anxiety. I don't smoke cigs but I smoke weed everyday. I don't really see a problem with it, I questioned it for a while and then just decided to just live with it. Costs a lot but it's worth it :)

  6. I'm glad everyone is being helpful, like they said I would think you should find a hobby that interests you. I'm glad you have good friends. I think its fine if you still use the herb but start back into it really casually and be aware of your emotions. I wish you much luck with the herb :)

  10. You may wish to research clinical endocannabinoid deficiency (CECD)
    and the medicinal use of cannabis for your diagnosed disorders.
     
  11. i wanna start with saying something about somethign you said.

    that is absolutely wrong. its 100% possible to withdraw from cannabis. it all depends on how you smoke and how you go with doing soemthing everyday, then suddenly stopping.
    when i first started smoking. id have smoking binges. smoking an ounce a week. then stopping for a month. and id withdraw everytime. its not physical withdraws. but more mental. stress, irritability, boredom. dreaming(yes you are withdrawing, but not severely)

    but you didnt go too far at all. pot used to make me more happy than anything. till i disciplined myself to live without it. now i can go months without smoking and still be as jolly as a bucket of clams.
    like somone said. you just need a hobby or two to take your mind off it. play some video games. one that doesnt really ever end. so that it keeps you busy for a while. and start excercising.
    explore your possibilities.

    @wartooth420: Really? I suppose, I havn't been smoking since a ran out but every day for maybe two months I had been smoking .5 bowls about 1-5 times a day.
     
  13. i love to smoke pot. every blade at this city loves to smoke pot, its why were here lol

    but i took it in as a hobby. Instead of buying, i now grow my own, one day i wanna learn more indepth etc etc. I also love fitness and all aspects that surround it. Im currently studying personal fitness training and unconventional methods of training is what i wanna specialise in.

    I try and incorperate MJ into this. I workout and a good session is rewarded with a smoke.

    I also love to bake and have been experimenting with edibles. I make alot of protein based products for on the go when i havent got time to eat (flapjacks, brownies, protein bars) and now i incorperate mj to this. After a high intendity workout, i kick back with a nice protein drink and a protein mj power bar. The protein hekps aid my recovery and the mj takes the edge off the pain.

    I do apologise for rambling, there is sense somehwere in this text. What im getting at is, incorperate your love of mj into your life, dont let it take over =) youll find your hobby somewhere and i hope you the best.

    Plus i suffer anxiety really bad and exercise helps with this. i also have minor depression which comes and goes, but when ya have things to occupy yaself with, it goes

  14. A good idea is to grow marijuana... i think growing is more "addictive" then smoking weed. Its the best hobby, and the most exciting part is that its natural. If it is possible I suggest you give it a try. The plants are almost like humans.
     
  15. i used to suffer from depression till reading into visualization and mind over matter, now i make my emotions what i want them to be, 4 out of 5 people suffer from mental illness at some point in their life if not all of it, but if you read into mind over matter and visualization you realize you can control it.
    smoke is most important for me cause i use it for medical reasons, its probably just as important to me as my work is but i do do it with with people, its not social for me, its necessary, and i dont wanna be stoned when im with people, best that way. find a balance and he may not be the boyfriend you want if you want cannabis more than him.
