So I ran across a substantial amount of shake (dank ofc) and kief (2 lb's shake, and a 1/4 lb of kief) and was asked if I wanted to make some hash with them.. The problem is I think it will be too expensive, and I'm not sure how much hash I'd get out of it.. I made some iron press hash with my personal kief and I know that didn't lose much weight, but I'm not sure how much people would like that as their hash. I could make some bubble hash (Coldwater hash/gumby hash) with the shake. How much hash do you guys think I'd get back from 2 pounds of shake? Or is there a better way of making some hash and still getting a decent yield. I will probably have to just send the kief back, because people are so picky. They'd rather have gooooooooey hash any day than some iron pressed hash.. Any suggestions?
Personally, I would use a dry ice extraction on a pound to get more keif. Press some of it, then use the rest to layer in with the other pound of shake and blow BHO
Alright thanks now we are getting somewhere. How much BHO would an average pound of good shake bring me you think? I made some more of the iron press hash last night out of my own kief again, man that stuff is awesome but I know people won't like it as much as they would some good bubble hash or oil.
i have a method that involves dry ice and a silk screen. Once the kief is collected just do an iso wash and freeze the alcohol this will solidify the lipids in the kief which is basically the clorophile( spelling? ) and other contaminates. Take this cold alcohol and filter it thru a coffee filter and evaporate the alcohol out. Hash oil
