Has your tolerance just been getting higher and higher?

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by LulzRoyce, Oct 9, 2010.

  1. No pun on that title lol. But for those of you who have smoked for many years has your tolerance just been going up and up? Or has it capped out to a max tolerance that you now can reach desired effects to with the same amount every time you smoke?

Also, has the way marijuana affects you changed over the months/years? I personally feel like it doesn't affect me as intensely as it used to- i.e. uncontrollable laughter and giddiness etc.. Anyone?

  2. My tolerance has deffo gone higher.
Comparing the ammout i used to smoke, to the ammount i need now to get
    seriously blazed. Not good :(

My tolerance stays the same because i take a week off after each week on.
On the 7th day of on i can start to feel the slight start of tolerance building but thats when the week off starts. Its a proven system that works for me to prevent tolerance.Although i do use it medicinally i like the recreational effects too much to allow myself to become immune to them.

  4. Ya I smoke constantly and the medical quality stuff I get now sends my tolerance through the roof...

  5. yea it does just get higher and it gets to the point where i can smoke a gram of dank by myself and feel pleasant for about 30 mins and then just tired as fuk. thats when i usually take a break. drastic change from the euphoria when i first started...

  6. My tolerance hasn't gone up at all, but I don't smoke more than twice a week. It's all about moderation and your tolerance will stay low.

  7. I've been smoking daily for the past 2 years and I think my tolerance has sort of leveled off at this point. The key is to smoke many different strains and types of hashes, should keep your highs feeling fresh.

  8. chaning strains helps me alot, usualy i feel it go up throughout the week but if i get a new strain the next week it sets it back a little

  9. You took the words out of my mouth. But I've been smoking daily for about a year and I get pretty high with not that much bud.

  10. Yea my tolerance is definitely sky-rocketing. The stupid thing is, I don't wanna take a break!

  11. Yes, unfortunatly my tolerance has gotten higher so i do need to smokee a lot more to be where i wanna be.

  12. Tolerance has gone out the hatt. All I get is heady highs no body high onlyy if itz du firee I can feal the body highs dosent matter if I'm smoking sativa indica /hybyrds Benn smoken daily for the past 2 years. Im in need of a t-break but I just be sparken themm back to back.

  13. i mix up weed alot and try and smoke out of many different types of pieces. I find the device i use will effect my high alot also

  14. I've only been smoking since I was about 14, I'm 19 now. But yes, definately. As I became more experienced with the effects of the high over the first few years, I started smoking more and more. I.e-I used to get super baked off like a joint, and not be able to keep a straight face, let alone hold back uncontrollable, gut-aching laughter. Now, I take bong rips from the time I wake up till the time I go to bed, and I am able to act cool if needed infront of ANYONE because I have a much higher tolerance now and such.

Turns out though, I'm really, REALLY high right now and am cracking up at Ace Ventura on tv, just like I used to. :smoke:

  15. You know I think you may have something there. Thing is all the strains in the end are the same because the they have the same one chemical that really matters, THC. Some have more than others but in general its all THC. Of course weed contains many other active substances and inactive substances that might attribute to different highs.

My dealer likes to get new stuff every 2 weeks, so every 2 sacks I'm basically smoking something that I've never really smoked. I've been toking daily for a year and have probably tried over 40 different strains already. I still get pretty damn baked off just 2-3 hits from my bong but I wash my bong literally every single day and I buy medical grade mj. But I feel like my tolerance only goes as high as my practice with weed. If I have a set schedule of how much I smoke my tolerance will go up to that schedule and stay there. However I noticed if I suddenly start smoking more than normal the tolerance goes up with it and the highs start to last less time

  16. 2+ year t-break, I'm sure I have no tolerance.

  17. Yeah, I need a break. Planning to start on monday or tuesday and then going until halloween. It has very much seemed like the psychedeleic effects of the weed have gone away completely and I don't even really get anything but tiredness from it..

  18. My tolerance goes in cycles. I try to toke less, when I catch myself finishing my second bowl of Chem D, and it only last an hour. I think, changing up helps. I'll smoke Indys for awhile, then switch over to Sat's. Plus, smoking less frequently, for a month or two, helps reset my tolerance level.

When chronic stops being chronic, time to ease up......

  19. I find that over the years my Tolerance started out interesting. i went from getting suupppperrrr fucked up off 1 bowl to where i am now and i feel as if i just let my mind wander and let the herbs kick in i get higher rather than thinkin about it too much. i also can act completely fine under the influence. it doesnt rly affect my comprehension of my surroundings at all anymore. its interesting.

  20. Ive been burning everyday for a year but ever since i switched to medical and i keep a strain variety i still get very stoned everytime i burn a bowl. Im interested to see how high i would get if i took a few weeks off...
