are you referring to the food store brand water? im gonna take a wild guess and say this is probably purified bottled water with a ph of around 7. plants will love it.
Yeah he is talking about the grocery store fresh and easy...lol I second the fact its drinking water with a neutral ph...7.0
Cannot....CANNOT believe that anyone would buy grocery water when tap water is hugely cheaper, safer and perfectly good for growing, drinking, bathing in . . . You pay more for bottled water than most of you pay for gasoline/petrol. If you put anything in the ooooh so special water....anything at all including fertilizer...you're going to change its pH and the fact that you started with bottled water will matter not bit. Save money. Save the plastic that will last forever that is used to coat your store bought water Save the gas/petrol it takes to bring plastic coated water to your local store. Unless you live in a desert, or have such poor water quality that you wouldn't make ice cubes out of it, use your nice cheap tap water. Submitted for your approval, Tyg
I had this discussion in an earlier thread. What I learned is...Distilled water lacks a lot of nutrients such as cal/mag which I see a lot of people use anyway. You can go buy the cal/mag to add.....Regular bottled drinking water, you have to be careful with as it can contain sodium. If you look at the ingredients it will say 0% sodium. But in fine print it says an insignificant amount of sodium biocarbonate and sodium sulfate added for taste. I have no idea if that makes a dif or not but it was enough for me to not want to take that chance and use it. So I decided on tap water. Like mentioned above in a post, once you add your nutes you will need to adjust PH anyway. If using straight tap and it's like over 7 then add some PH down. Depending on how much water your using just use very very small amounts till you get to the level desired. And like also mentioned, let it air out for at least 24 hrs. Every so often shake it up. JMO.
