My plant is getting close to harvest, yet it has a lot of undeveloped flowers growing on the lower branches. I was hoping to cut and dry the colas on top with the bud that is mature, and then come back later after the plant has had more time and harvest the smaller flowers. Is it worth it to do this? Or would the plant be too stressed out after the first harvest to mantain/grow?
in my opinion you should do it in reverse...i.e. prune the lower branches with the popcorn buds that won't produce very early on, before they even begin to flower, so that the plant can focus all of its energy into producing the best colas it can on the main branches however, what you're talking about doing isn't going to hurt anything, I take it you're not planning on reveging the plant right? you should be fine, but consider doing what I mentioned above next time
I figured I should have clipped them, but they didn't even show up until a few weeks ago which was strange. Oh well, now that I think about it, iut may not be worth the bud.
at this point I'd chop it all and just turn everything but your best colas into an extract of some sort - probably water hash in your case, although I'd probably make some BHO
not off hand...when I make water hash it's "bubble hash" using something called "bubble bags," there are a million products out there nowadays that are basically the same, aqua lab technologies has some cheap stuff that works well just off the top of my head. Do a search on google for water hash (I would suggest typing "water hash www.icmag.com" as that site is the be-all end-all for growing knowledge in my opinion good luck hope that helps
Here's a good link to show you the process with some nice pics - How to make bubble hash, Abby Style - Page 1 the guy who made that (abbynormal) posts on icmag...which, once again, I can't say enough good things about when it comes to the sheer amount of knowledge on that forum there are ways to make "bubble hash" without actual bubble bags/screens, but I'm having a hard time finding it...I know Aqua Lab Tech used to have like a $35 or $40 120 micron (I think?) bag that would do the trick on a budget...
