harvesting question

    I am due to harvest my very first crop in about three weeks time. I read somewhere that when I hang it to dry it should be kept in the dark until its dry. Is that right? Any advice would be appreciated.

    make sure there is good air circulation where the buds are hanging, you dont want stale air which could subsequently lead to mould. Plus good air circulation leads to a faster dry...

    hang in dark room (around 70 degrees)with an oscillating fan blowing around the room but not on the buds. dry until stem snaps. after that, put them in mason jars. make sure to not cram a bunch of buds into any one jar. they need space to cure properly. open jars 3 times a day for 15 minutes. that takes a good month if you have big buds. that's a really good cure....

    :wave: Wow! Thanks for the info, I'm glad I asked cos theres a bit more to it than I thought! :rolleyes: That gives me time to think about getting meself organised! This forum has proved so useful to me for this first grow - its def one of the best.
