Harvesting in grow tent

Discussion in 'Harvesting and Processing Marijuana' started by medmaryjane, Jan 5, 2020.

  1. I just chopped my plants and hung them in my 4x3 grow tent. I have a mini dehumidifier running and I left the input and exhaust fans running. Do I have to do this? Could I dry them just in the tent without the fans? What temp is best? Any help would be appreciated.

  2. dont use a de humidifier, you want to stick with 7 7 7, 7 days in 70F with 70 humidity

  3. I would check the humidity before you run the de humidifier. Could get to dry in there and dry out faster than you want.

  4. What humidity level should I look for?

  5. I am not sure what you mean by 7 7 7, 7?

  7. I don’t know shit, just started growing but I’ve always read that above 55% is prone to mold and will take much longer to dry.

I’d be curious to know why that humidity level is better than compared to around 45-55%

  8. I am about to harvest and probably go with the 777 because lots of old school growers recommend it

  9. You'll be fine drying at 70%. At first I was really hesitant to try it because like you I'd seen all of those 50-55% humidity recs and where I live it's a chore to keep the humidity that high anyway. It slows drying down enough so that most of the hay smell is gone after a week and it preserves terps. If you can keep your humidity at 65% you'll be okay.
