When is the best time to harvest MJ Plants? Ive heard the best time is when the majority of the hairs turn orange/red, but im still not to sure, and need some help! Thanks guys
I know I've read that quote many times recently, but perhaps you could elaborate. What exactly is one to look for under the microscope? What are trichomes, and how should they be looking when I find them? thanks.
Hey there hope this helps: trichomes are the crystals on the buds Do not go by the hairs as some ppl have gone by its a horrible way og checking when things are ready..i found this for you as a good reference stay safe and keep it green! Pick yourself up an illuminated 10x magnifying glass. They sell them at radio shack.
if you dont have a scope then wait till the buds look "round" and not "spikey" each seed pocket has two white hairs and when one "dies" turns brown it pulls back into the seed pocket,(you see it is supposed to have pollen on it) and starts chemical production, give it a couple of days to swell up and then snip snip snip.obviously when the majority of the now FAKE seed pockets must be ripe befor harvest.
