Harvested, The 1 sq ft Microgrow - Plushberry

What's up everyone... So here we go

I have this server box that I've converted into a mini grow box, it just has 2 x 12cm pc fans and 1 mini fan for circulation... Its also lined with a car sunvisor on the inside.

There's 2 led bulbs in it for veg, they say its 50w each but they aren't really that bright... The tree isn't stretching a lot and leaf production is moving slowly so I think its enough for the space.

There's also a 150w ufo led that I'm assuming is around 40 to 50w actual draw and it's bright as hell... I took the cover off and repositioned the electronics to get some extra headroom, an idea I got from the microgrow thread on here... Will use it for flowering.

I'm using Freedom Farms Formula 1 soil, with GH Flora Trio nutrients pack.

I started it off in a small plastic container and then transplanted into a 5L fabric pot once she grew a bit, in which she'll spend the rest of her life.

Topped down to the third node at 16 days and she recovered quickly... She's now about 23 days old and I just installed a makeshift scrog, I hope it works well enough.

I'm considering topping the main bud sites once more to use the space a bit more effectively.

Here's a few pics of the setup and the plant... Will be updating often and it is my first try at scrog so any advice would be awesome...

She's coming along nicely... I've been thinking of just using the ufo light instead of the led bulbs but it does have more of a red spectrum, and doesn't have UV or IR (unlike the bulbs)... But the ufo may be overkill for vegging. Any thoughts?

I may just switch to veg with the ufo and use the bulbs as supplementals during flower because of the UV and IR.

I think another week and I'll give her the second topping... All is well for now.

It's not really an issue because the space is so small... I put the net up so soon to limit the height as much as I can due to the limited vertical space.

I removed the screen because it was falling and really not helping me... I'll come up with something to make a new screen soon... She's growing rapidly now and I should top her again by the end of next week.

Just did some lst to open up the bud sites that are just coming up... Looks to be filling out the space quite well, even without the screen in place.

Shot these just after lights out... Beginning to get hard to see in there, lol. Will defoliate when I top her again.

Decided to top her today and did a defoliation, just before lights on... Gave her a dose of full strength of vegging nutes at pH 6.6, let's she how she responds.

 

Took these 2 hours before lights out... The defoliation and topping was successful, she should start growing well again in the next 2 to 3 days.

I left the fan leaves attached to the smallest growth tips to give them a chance to catch up... Will flip in a week or 2.

Yeah, that was the plan... But I do have 2 led bulbs that I may use as supplementals because they have UV and IR diodes (as well as blue, red and white)...

Still unsure if I want to use them or not, will decide after the flowering stretch.. Why do you ask bro?

She's filling out nicely, canopy is nice and flat with minimal lst, just 4 wires holding her down... Will flip her in a few days, don't want to outgrow the space or get light burn... Hope I didn't stress the plant out too much.

I wanted to, but my old one wasn't rigid enough... I needed to come up with something to build a new one but the small space makes it a challenge. It's also my first try at the technique so i still have a lot to learn.

With the way I'm topping and training the plant, the scrog wouldn't make a huge difference.. I'm undecided

Snipped off the last of the remaining fan leaves a few minutes ago and did some more tucking... Expecting to flip in the next 5 days

She's just over 3 inches above the soil right now and has 30 bud sites.
