Harvest for Vape

Discussion in 'Harvesting and Processing Marijuana' started by Toddmoe, Nov 9, 2010.

  1. Question for the experts. Most of the guides for harvesting and curing focus on smoking. Quick dry = harsh smoke … I have a plant for personal use that is pretty close now and I am wondering if there are any special harvesting considerations for Vaping rather than smoking. I exclusively Vape, I have taken a couple of samples, did a 5-6 day dry, but no cure to sample and while it was a little on the lawn clipping side, it vaped just fine.
So I guess the question really is, are there any special considerations for harvesting when you are exclusively vaping?

  2. I cant lie, i take alot of my popcorn buds and smoke/vape them way earlier than recommmened. But who wants to pay for bud when you just harvested some sex.

  3. Sup Dude,

I have entered the wonderful world of vapin recently myself and have also wondered this.

However my research as a grower has brought me to the conclusion that after harvest, herb needs some time to actually become fully psychoactive which is accomplished by losing moisture. Not only until the plant is dry will the various cannabinoids reach full potential.

So while vaping prematurely dried buds may give you a buzz because of its efficiency in releasing available THC, the material is still probably not at its peak potential.

Clearly non of this is science but I am about to test out some LSD i tried last night to see if I can verify this.
