Introducing ... Trump TV. Not that it was completely unexpected, but it is rather disgusting. Slowly but surely this administration is starting to follow in the tracks of North Korea or any dictatorship for that matter. Create truly fake, state-run news, labeled as "real news" to promote your propaganda . CNN commentator quits to join ‘real’ news on pro-Trump TV Welcome to the USSR, comrades. I sincerely hope our wonderful and most handsome leader is satisfied.
You don't have to watch it...I'm pretty sure North Koreans can't choose what they're viewing on Tv if they even get Tv. Plenty of other news outlets who promote truth, may not be popular but they're out there, and no one is telling them to stop. We are no where close to heading towards NK in any way, come on...
wait what happened to a free press? Only allowed if you agree with the message? seems kind of counter-productive right?
according to this article its hosted on his facebook page. Not a new news channel. One of Trump's most vocal supporters left CNN to make a pro-Trump news video that's been compared to state TV
It's only fascist if someone else does it. Trump is just exercising free speech. /s Well, with his approval ratings, I suppose he had to take matters into his own hands and create his own pro-Trump propaganda. At least it's only a 1.5 min segment? For now at least.
Obama did a regular segment on youtube. I think it was weekly. You don't know about it because it sucked. I don't see that being much different. I don't think it's Trump TV that is putting out the fake news. Might want to look more at the MSM like CNN, FOX, CBS, NBC, NYT, WP, WSJ, ect. There you can hear great "stories" about how Russia hacked everything in the world. I'm sure that wikileaks paid for Seth Rich's funeral and offered a reward for information about his murder because they are nice guys. It's not because he was the email source and not Russia. Seymour Hersh is on the Seth Rich story and there's going to be some bombs dropped. Apparently there is evidence he was communicating with wikileaks no matter how much his Dem to the bone family doesn't like it.
so cnn and fox is fake news, but this is a shining example of the freedom of the press and one's right to exercise free speech... very logical indeed.
Hmmm. Don't remember saying anything about shinning examples, but near everything on TV is pretty darn slanted to the point of almost being fake.
I just want to point out that news channels, news papers etc all have had more then a 30% increase in memberships and viewing since trump became president. All there stories either cater to the people who like trump or who hate trump. Honestly I would much rather hear about that then how blacks and whites are constantly killing each other and all that other bullshit but for now I'll stick to not believing anything the news posts no matter what it is seems like to me your either not getting the full story or your getting someone's opinion on the most extreme thing that could happen Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Another dirty secret is that since most TV stations are on the downhill slide dramatically since the internet they are more tied down to their sponsors then ever. You think that story about the new starbucks latte is in the news because it's an interesting story? Most people don't realize that elections are where tv networks make a lot of their money. That probably has a lot to do with how much longer they draw out the election season now. Not only do you have people running over 2 years out now you have 6 months of post election reporting on the election. The tv executives will brag about how much money they make during the election season. If you don't think they use slanted and hyped stories to do so you're fooling yourself. Pretty much all the networks hate Trump because he gave them hardly any money. He broke the rules but hyped himself up more then they could for millions of payoffs. If you don't think it bothers them that his twitter is more watched then their news you're not thinking it through.
how ironic that the same people who cry about government overreach in one thread cannot decipher the difference between state-sponsored propaganda and free speech in this situation.
Everything on the news is potential propaganda now. The law that used to prevent it was repealed a few years ago. The government spends a billion dollars or many a year on news releases and "propaganda" around the world. They used to not be able to do it directly to the American people until they repealed the Smith-Mundt Act under everyone's noses with little fan fare. Smith–Mundt Act - Wikipedia The NDAA Legalizes The Use Of Propaganda On The US Public Is Congress Really Authorizing US Propaganda at Home? Is Congress Really Authorizing US Propaganda at Home?
Dude you're comparing Trump's administration to North Korea, you have no credibility. You've bought into the media hysteria and now you want to talk about propaganda?
why would i pack my bags for NK? we've got a tremendous and glorious leader right here in the US. how could i ever leave him behind? ... and in your view travel plans = credibility? keep trying bud.
no I think its you who is having difficulty understanding what is going on here. You are seriously comparing the us to north korea because trump had a lady on his facebook page do a 1.5 minute video. How did you feel about cnn giving hillary the questions for the debates? I dunno man, we used be able to have somewhat rational discussions...
if you took that comparison as "serious" you probably thought the photo which forty winks posted was real too? i told you multiple times i don't give two shits about hillary.
