Happy, motivated high?

there's a strain called "motivation"

 

I'd go for some Sour Diesel. It's got the most uplifting in a good way, not racy way, high that I can think of. I love Sour D because it feels like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders when I smoke it and there is no burn out or negative side effects IMO.

 

when you say "motivation" do you mean that, or a surplus of energy? you can't get ORIGINAL kali mist or joey weed's C99 anymore, but both have a very similar buzz with plenty of euphoria and so much motivation that it's hard to sit still on them. they're awesome specialty strains that are only suited for activities. when i tried to chill out on kali mist (FINALLY getting high after almost 10 years of no sativas anywhere nearly brought a tear to my eye and made me offer $120 for just an eigth i STILL couldn't buy!!!) i couldn't concentrate on tunes like i could trippy columbian gold. i ended up cleaning my apartment and fishtank all the whille humming don't worry be happy.

you can STILL get joey weed's C99 x A11 which is 75% C99 as A11 is C99 x genius, but A11 is swtonier and trippier. it would be a mellower buzz i imagine and a bit more psychoactive. i'd expect it to be a little better for chilling out and nowadays kali mist has 12.5% more indica too so it's probably less racy too. JW's C99 leabns towards mildly grapey haze phenos, but mosca has just released a version based on the "ultimate" potent pineapple pheno and it's claimed to be very trippy where JW's is very clear headed and thought provoking.

i haven't tried laughing buddha or jack 33 yet, but those 2's claim to fame is euphoria and both breeders are favorites of many.

i'd say you couldn't go wrong with 8 miles high. i love that strain! it's perfectly balanced. it has zero effect on your ENERGY. it has zero stone, but isn't racy either. it just likes to playfully nudge you into having fun after just a couple easy tokes. it isn't as potent as IBLs maybe, but that can be a good thing because potent sativas spank you when you overdo them with room spinning nausea. unlike many sativas like C99 & kali mist that are more about euphoria and motivation than hightening your senses with psychoactivity, 8 miles LOVES music and had me doing the robot with what felt like super precise body control. it's just a nice 24/7 strain that just does EVERYTHING right and is super indoor friendly & noob (grower AND smoker friendly). you should look into his kalichakra too. that's a promising strain i'd love to try some day too.

a lot of indoor sativas, particularly the more psychoactive ones like super silver haze, jack herer, romulan, la confidential, red dragon, medicine man (aka white rhino) or LSD and very similar blue mataro ALSO couchlock you which is the opposite of fun to me. i like LSD & blue mataro better than stony street beasters because they start out getting you high, but don't like their 2 hour creeper KO stone. many of them, jack herer in particular take a lot longer to finish than quick 8mh too. it's not only a perfectly balanced strain that i liken to getting a slow comfortable screw from a lover that knows exactly how to touch you, but is also one of the most practical for indoors.

if you want something similar, but more potent and exotic, short stuff's super cali haze smokes just like the real deal and haze is generally considered the best strain in the world. it's not as psychoactive as columbian gold (the champ for anything i've sampled) or haze skunk, but it's all about euphoria and motivation and has a delicious sweet grape flavor that walks all over overrated & stony blueberry. it's going to be a slow & low yielding strain, but it's probably going to be the most perfect strain you've ever smoked. i defy ANY pot snob to turn their nose up at this strain. dr atomic's atomic haze is supposed to be really good too, though i wonder how stony it's NL5 genes make it.

high quality seed's haze skunk is my current favorite, but it's slow and low yielding, but it has even MORE sticky bud potency than columbian gold and is second to only that (in my experience) for trippiness. the thing that would make me say super cali is objectively better is that it's cigar under your nose flavor is disgusting to me, but not as much as cat piss, diesel or even licorice tasting durban poison. if you love black licorice, DP is many people's favorite IBL. i didn't find it as trippy as gold either, but i was happy to suffer it's woofing & dry heaves as it was a super rare treat when i was gifted a gram in the late 90s.

if you suffer from depression, i'd say DON'T try haze skunk unless you're willing to wait for it and don't mind gambling $35 on it as IBLs that potent & trippy also induce paranoia which is a sort of depression too. they're something to work up to. 8 miles high though will just want to have fun whether it be sports or just chilling on your couch watching a movie and munching popcorn. it has definite motivation and quietly whispers to you "what are you doing still sitting here? can't you think of anything funner to do? come on... you're boring me already! let's go get laid or something." if i had to pick one strain in the world to grow indoors, it would be that one for doing nothing wrong. super cali is superior by a small margin, but is fussier to grow as is haze skunk which is so potent that after a week or so of wake & baking, it starts building up in your system so you have a constant bust slight buzz even when you don't bake and it eventually starts giving you low grade nausea that's easy to ignore because it keeps you busy.

another one of the reasons it's my personal favorite is that it got me to instantly stop my 6 pack of tall boys a night drinking habit AND start dieting simply by forgetting to eat because i was just having so much fun on it. not a fan of the flavor, but it's the 2nd trippiest named strain i've blazed and that's the buzz i always seek. it's a really bad strain to share with naturally jumpy people though where 8mh is way less likely to make someone freak out.

Hands down TGA seeds Jillybean is antidepressant. It would put a smile on a dead guys face.

 

i've seen a lot of thumbs up for jillybean. even if TGA's strains aren't as famous, even now, as gear from other breeders, growers in the know swear by their gear. that's why i'd love to see a smoke report for jack 33.

i don't know about the buzz of their vortex without looking it up, but that's another strain of theirs i've seen plenty of raves for too

 

hey, there's a special on PBS tonight about skunks! you might want to watch it.

i once poked a skunk hiding under a car with a stick to get it out of our basement an eating garbage and didn't get sprayed. i slowly worked up to it with a lot of loud verbalization and eventually was nudging it until it decided it didn't like the sevice at that restaurant.

then there was another skunk in a park that tried to bum rush me with loud growling i calmly walked away from backwards. i don't think that one would have been quite as laid back as the other was. maybe they hate the smell as much as we do though and only use it when they have to.

Several of TGA strains have an antidepressant quality. Of course he works with alot of sativa so its to be expected.


And on a side note.... I absolutely love skunky weed also. Always have and always will. If I pass a dead skunk on the side of the road I cant help but think MmmMmm.

Yep, excellent strain for being happy/motivated, it always makes me want to get up and be active. Cut it too early and it can give you a nice but of anxiety, however.

 

hey, you're quite welcome buddy! i KNOW how hard it is to find detailed smoke reports even when you beg and plead for them! all 99% of grow reports are about are pics and room conditions leaving you with the ripoff "best shit ever!" passing as a smoke report at the end! Sour D or Strawberry Cough are always great choices if sativa.

 

i think 8 miles high might be a strawberry cough hybrid as it's description mentions strawberry phenos. i don't recall any notable flavors myself.

 

Best to remove the tin foil hat and lock on the tin foil helmet for a bit more protection then. Then be ready to order the code red.
