This is my hammer, and it can hold water, or smoke without. It's great, I can use it on the go, or with water.

However, there are large downsides to having a hammer like this. Such as the fact that it takes hours to clean with a paper clip and lots of Iso. Alcohol. I would personally suggest not getting a hammer, unless it's much larger than mine due to the clogging facter, and the pain in the ass factor. Mind you, lots of that water will get in your mouth until you learn what the proper amount is, and might possibly spill on your furnite causing funky weed smells.

    Goodluck!

  4. yeah, i have a nice size hammer. its still sneakable but pretty decent. it takes a couple of shakes of iso and its clean. salt or rice with iso is better. get a thick piece, so when you drop it, it wont break.

Hammers and Side Cars are just terms for describing the appearance of a pipe, it has nothing to do with its capabilities.

You have no idea what your talking about. You just need to work on your cleaning technique.

My dry hammer. Cleaned it the other day and it only took maybe a tablespoon of iso and 3 minutes to clean. Thats after putting about an ounce through it before it was last done.

  6. I wish you had an idea what you're talking about before accusing me of not knowing about my own pipe. My personal hammer isn't large enough to fit any kind of Q-Tips in, and simply putting salt and iso alcohol in there with a plastic bag isn't going to do shit. The fact is, the bottom of the hammer will not clean as well as the rest of it, because inside, the stem that slides down from the bowl to the chamber clogs right where they meet. You might not be able to see it as well I can since my bowl is clear.

I'm sure however that you have alot more build up than you'd know.

  7. You don't need Q-tips to clean a pipe. You don't put the pipe in a baggy, you put the iso and salt into the pipe.

Read that, then come talk to me. I've cleaned glass for stoners all around my campus. I know how to clean a pipe.

  8. yo man i really like ur hammer, its pretty sweet... but does it stand up well???? and im sure that cleaning it isnt that bad..... i mean its just cleaning right???

  9. Rhythm, once again..I have to say this, I know what I'm doing, I've had my hammer for quite a while. I don't care how much alcohol and salt you put in that baggy, and you can shake until your arm is numb, it's not going to get all the resin off of the bottom of the hammer. The problem is where it drops from the bowl to the bottom, it gets a severe build up there. I'm not an idiot, and I've had many pieces in which I have had to clean several times, I'm quite maticulous about a clean pipe.

CitySmoker, yeah dude it stands up great, never teeter-totters when I sit it down or anything. It's got a perfectly shaped bottom that sits completely, and not just on the edge like some hammers. Make sure when you go out to get one that you test out how well it can sit on the counter before you purchase! The worst thing in the world is to have one tip over with water in it and soil your bud; or worse, spill dirty water everywhere and make it stink for hours.

  10. While I agree that small bubblers can be messy, you really shouldn't blame your hammer for your failure to clean it, or to buy one in the first place that has a carb big enough to get a q-tip into. Hammers are the best because the blast point is farther away from the bowl, therefore less resin buildup.
Good advice, and phat hammer, dude. Nice pic, too. Looks like thick glass, and the bowl appears to be not too big to pack a one hitter.
Stop using paper clips to clean your pipe. If the metal scratches the glass, it weakens it. Just because your personal hammer sucks is no reason to discourage others from this style of pipe.

A q-tip is an essential tool for cleaning glass pipes. You can clean it instantly instead of waiting overnight for the alcohol to soak in.

You really need to get a pipe that is easier to clean. That's one of the most important things to consider when buying a pipe. If I have a q-tip on me I practice on it to see if it will be easy to clean. If not, the pipe is worthless to me.

  11. *Sigh* I'm getting really tired of this, get back on topic with this guys post. If you can read, then you clearly can see, I stated that he should get one larger then mine, hence why I posted it with a pen next to it so he could see the size. I would not use a paper clip if I could get inside the bowl and actually remove the resin with anything else. No pipe cleaners have worked, qtips, anything.

I did not purchase this hammer, as it was a gift to me, and the people that bought it were obviously just looking for something cool to get me, and not so worried about how it would clean at a later state. Some people just don't think about things like this.

  12. LOVE that piece. +rep.
