Halo CE: Anniversary

  1. It came out today and was wondering if any of you have bought it yet. I'm really torn between buying the game or the DLC. I love the idea of replaying the single player but the multiplayer maps are really the biggest seller.

I guess the question is, is it worth it?

  2. wondering the same, has anyone else bought yet?

    and it has online right?

  3. Apparently, nobody has bought it...

It does have online but it's more of an extension of Halo: Reach. The maps that come with it can be bought as DLC on the Marketplace.

  4. dont tell me its all halo reach guns online? i thought it would have all the original maps plus some and original weapons?

  5. It has all of Halo: Reach guns and armor abilities. Although, there is an option to play classic slayer which doesn't have the armor abilities and, I think, no bloom.

There are original maps though. They're pretty sweet too. They're remakes of Headlong, Hang 'em High and Beaver Creek along with a few others.

  6. I bought it already thinking I needed Reach for the multiplayer and borrowed my cousins. To my surprise the game itself comes with the single player and ONLY the anniversary multiplayer, yet when your online it says your playing Halo: Reach..weird but I'm not complaining since I don't own Reach anymore and don't need it for online. :smoke:

  7. You don't need reach for the online. It comes with the multiplayer (using the reach engine), as well as a download code so that you can download the maps to your hardrive to use them while playing reach. The multiplayer is reach format, however the one game I played had only a few spawn weapons (shotgun needler and plasma pistol I think), so it might be the original weapon spawns for the map. I've been playing the campaign too much to care about multiplayer so far though.

I was playing firefight and it started unlocking achievements for Halo Reach, which has never even been in my Xbox haha. Strange...

  9. I bought the dlc and the maps are great. I love how much faster the movement is.

  10. I too bought the dlc. I'm about to get the campaign goin tho on my Jtag'd box, I'll let you guys know how it is.

  11. the maps are so fucking good. Im about to buy the game today but ive played the maps already.

    ....why not just...buy it?

  12. I got the maps right when they came out as dlc on xbl. So I kinda put myself in a hole right there. Either pay for the maps again, or pay for nothing.

  13. That's my concern. I don't know if I want just the maps or the maps with the single player campaign.

I know the maps are gonna be tight, but I wanna know if the single player is worth the buy.

I'm probably just gonna end up waiting for Christmas...

  14. I had to get the maps as soon as they came out. Beavercreek and Headlong,, FUCK YEAH! :D

The single player is amazing. You can switch between classic view and the new redesigned view just by hitting the back button.

  16. Buying the game has the DLC you would buy for it PLUS Halo 1 campaign which is dope.

  17. If you enjoyed Halo CE, and you would like to play it again except now get achievements for it and see how they have updated it visually than get it.

  18. For $40 its worth it. I wouldn't have paid a full $60 for it.
I am disappointed that the full Reach multiplayer isn't included, just the 5 playlists for Anniversary. But Reach is only $25 or so now, and I'm considering buying it since I got the map pack code with Anniversary also.

  19. Good to know guys, thanks
