Halo 4

I hope it really innovates and changes the game in fundamental ways.

Halo 3 was alright, but after playing Halo 2 for so long I just felt like it was the same thing with a few new vehicles and updated graphics.

Well, Combat Evolved for story I suppose.

 

I can't fucking wait. I love halo. I've loved every game (h1, h2, h3) this is my great white buffalo of video games.

 

I love halo 1 and 3, I hate anniversary, Its not like halo 1 at all. I hope its better than reach and odst. Only good part about odst was firefight.

Im about to go smoke my face off and play some halo 3 now.

 

I actually liked the storyline in Reach and ODST had some fun gameplay and new ways to fight.. I actually enjoyed firefighting my way through city streets and suffering from ammo shortage the entire time.. Lets just say I utilized enemy weapons as much as possible

 

story line for reach is official.. the book was great.. a movie would be sick

150+ unsc ships and 20 orbital macs

onscreen galactic carnage

 

Halo 1-3 were solid. Everything after that killed it for me.

But halo 1 ill never forget. It completely revolutionized the FPS genre.

 

Stopped playing halo when black ops came out.. I'm hoping h4 brings me back.

This was one of my favorite maps from Halo 3, I can't wait to play this for Halo 4. Also, they have added a new vehicle to the map as well, the Mantis.

 

every new piece of information about halo 4 makes me cringe a more and more. i dont even see how they can still call it halo... halo 2 was the last amazing halo. halo 3 was decent but needed a lot of things (hitscan in particular) now the series is just shit.


ill stick with counter strike. they dont have the "its not broke so lets fix it anyway" mentality that the halo series has taken.

i wish they would just release halo 1/2 multiplayer on xbla. i would pay $20 for that. you know back when halo rewarded skill and wasnt catered to casuals. dont change the graphics, dont touch the gameplay, just add online support for the first one (already on the pc version so it wouldnt be hard for them like their bullshit excuse for having reach multiplayer on anniversary). the first 2 are my 2 favorite games of all time.

 

Halo 2 was the best. They shut down the multiplayer servers awhile back though, not much chance of those coming back. If you wanted to play multiplayer now I think you'd have to get it on PC and join a private server.

 

with the 8 other people who play. its sucks that no one plays the pc version. and i played on the last few days before they shut it down. was a sad time :'( i was there when halo died.

Halo 2 was the best Halo out there, but i'm still excited for Halo 4 regardless. It is still going to be a better game then Black ops 2 or many other games out there. Just because its not as good as Halo 2, does not mean its a bad game overall. Its pretty hard to top Halo 2. I don't think anything will ever come close.

 

It was funny, I read this article from 2010 about these last diehards who refused to turn off their Xboxes after they shut down the servers. As long as they kept their connection, they could still play, but if their Xboxes froze or lost connection they'd be shut out forever.

I'm really craving a Big Team Slayer on Coagulation right now. Might set it up on my desktop just to see who's playing, I remember playing Halo 2 multiplayer back in 2004 when I was just a wee lad of 10
