Hallucinating Hash Capsules for Hemp Heads

I'll second that! Wife and I been trimming all day for 3 days now. No chance to make hash caps. I'm desperate for the relief I recently grew very accustomed to. What's a fiending hash cap aficionado to do? Fire cracker baby! I'll admit I've never done this before, but dammit if it's good enough for timothy leary it's good enough for me. That, and I'm really really desperate. I won't allow myself to run out again. This just happened to be the perfect storm. Harvest week, and I ran out on the first day. All good. Firecracker away! I placed 4g of good hash plant flower into the oven in a container wrapped in foil. 40 min @240. Then I'll pull it out and mix it with some peanut butter and smash that shit between two ritz crackers. Bake for 20 min @ 300. I very much hope to be baked to the moon in about 2 hours. It's gonna taste like super shit, but it should be super portent. Wish me luck

 

I am pleased to report it worked great. However with a caveat. I have a tummy ache. It's the chlorophyll in the plant matter that does it to me. The effects are different for me than when I eat the hash caps. I feel it behind the eyeballs more than an intense body high. My eyes are very heavy like I want to sleep. The hash caps usually are an intense narcotic muscle relaxer body high type of effect for me that relaxes the mind as well. I enjoy both greatly. Just an observation I couldn't help but notice. Success!

I got 10 minutes into my decarb of the kief, in my attached garage with the door open, and the bloodhound (the wife) woke up. I warned her last night that I'd be doing this at 5am not to freak out about the smell, but she did, haha. So now I got partially decarbed kief and no idea when I'll be able to finish. That damn covid, keeping everybody home...

Been trimming my tail off and I'm beat. Another firecracker witg 4g of flower. No tummy ache this time. Added half tsp lecithin this time. Wife said something that got me all riled up and I was very cranky. 20 minutes after eating my peanut butter the anger just melted away. I'm sleepy and relaxed now. I sure can't wait to make another batch of hash caps. As soon as the trim and popcorn buds dry I'll ice wash hash it and use that for my next round of caps

So what kind of yield do you get with a 160 screen?

Apples vrs oranges but Im using a 145 screen in a tumbler. No dry ice or coins. Ive only used it 3 times now. Once for trim, twice for buds. Last time, for the first time, I weighed everything and got back 29 point something returns. 295 grams of dried buds and resulting in 86 grams of hash. I tumbled about 40 minutes and quit when I started to see a little green in the sift. Id love to get it tested but im finding the closest lab is a two hour drive away. I used to have a local drop off point but the business closed. But I estimate roughly 60% cannabinoids in the tumbled dry sift. The buds were blue dream, 9 pound hammer, super silver haze, and columbian gold. So the big strong sativas that my patients prefer.

I yielded 21.2g hash out of 39g of flower using the dry ice method sieved through a 160 micron mesh bubble bag. 54% return

 

54% yield? That's astronomical from what I've read. My only experience is singular and I got 15% using a seriously primitive method of retrieval. I'm gonna have to up my game or get better weed. Haha. Or give up and just smoke the shit!

That 54% yield comes with a caveat. See how green it is? The dry ice method yields more than ice washing because the dry ice and agitation will pulverize the material to fine dust the more you work it. You could shake to 80% yield but the question you have to ask yourself is how good is the pot? The better the quality the more I'll work the material. However once I start seeing the color change to a dark green I can tell junk plant matter is falling through the sieve. That's my stopping point. The hash produced with the wet ice wash method is of higher quality, but takes much more labor and time. My rule is wet ice wash trim. Dry ice method is very acceptable for quality flower. If I ran my trim through a dry ice sieve it would be terrible because a lot of plant matter would end up in my yield.

Makes sense. I guess when you get back 29% off a plant with 25% thc, the rest would have to be plant matter, and that's if you got !00% of the thc and that probably doesn't happen.

I tried some of mine in my sic halo dish enail, and it was pretty rough and left a messy dish, dirtier than rosin. But it did get me pretty high, lol. But it wasn't full melt, id say half melt.

 

I think I finally made my firecracker the right way last night, because I'm so fucked up this morning I can't even get moving after copious amounts of caffeine consumption. I'm just trying to get my shit together this morning and it isn't working. I do see some good news this morning though. Georgia unloaded their 2 republican senators, so it looks like we'll be getting the other $1400 per individual stimulus McConnell and the senate republicans screwed us all on. Love me some stimulus. Could care less about politics God I hope this wears off soon. I'm really struggling. This is the first time I've been overwhelmed by my own cooking. Dam the chef

 

Queue the star wars music: The dust buster has arrived! I get so dam tired of having to clean crunchy leaf messes off my flower room floor and it's too tight to use a shop vac in there, so I ordered a cordless black and decker dust buster off amazon for $33.99. This baby just made my day. Plenty of suction and it will make the daily maintenance of cleanup so much easier I'm elated. It's the little things in life that add up to big victories. I was in a horrible mood before this showed up. Just harvest week stress. Happy happy joy joy now
