Halloween Candy Already In Stores - In August

Discussion in 'Real Life Stories' started by garrison68, Aug 26, 2014.

  1. We're already seeing Halloween candy in the stores, it's still summer!

I guess by Labor Day, we'll start seeing Xmas items.

Every year, they knock the sales of holiday merchandise back further and further.   The way it's going, pretty soon Easter stuff will start showing up in October or November!

  2. Should just keep it all out year round. Maybe we would finally become desensitized to it.

  3. Shout out to the old ladies who hand out apples to the kids.

  4. Hell yeah

    Leerooooyyyy mmmjaaannkinsss

  5. Well, I mean...They're just reselling the unused portions of previous Halloween's anyway.

  6. I was seeing the super packs of Halloween candy in July when I went to Costco.  I did not hesitate to pick some up for the perfect munchie snack

  7. So gross.  This country is filled with junk.  So much junk food.  It's time the government does something about it and Michelle Obama making bad school lunches worse is not the answer.

  8. stock up and spend less dough at 711 for the next few months :confused_2:

  9. I don't even like candy anymore.   Well, I hardly eat it.  I can't do all that sugar.  I feel terrible afterwards.  Amazing as a little kid I could eat the whole bag like nothing.

If I want a snack then a lot of times I'll eat peanuts, a chewy bar, a piece of fruit, or fruit leather (similar to fruit snacks but made from real fruit and not just some gummy garbage)  I do like bags of chips but don't get them too too often.  I like eating the Baked Lays..which are a little better for you but I just like them better anyway.

  10. Same here dude, I stay away from all that junk too. Except I distinctly remember feeling bad as a little kid after eating too much junk then. Now, it's more of a mental thing for me to stay away from all that as much as it is how bad it makes me feel after.

  11. Halloween candy? Please, here in the UK we already have Christmas cards out in the shops. It gets earlier every year!!

  12. Omg those poor kids will be eating months old stale candy in November.

  13. I don't remember if I ever did it but one of the all time worst Halloween party game was "Bobbing for Apples", in which kids would have to try to catch an apple in their teeth from a basin of water.  The unsanitary nature of this game aside, I simply did not find apples appealing enough to partake in this activity.  Pin the Tail on the Donkey sucked, as well.

  14. Its just went crazy the world. Our hunger as consumers is out of control, and you cant blame the companies really.

After all if silly cunts are going to buy this crap then they are tge cause.
I love xmas everything about it, but every year the stores and tv spoil it a little every year with all tge commercialism.

Either that or im getting old lol

This thread got me thinking, I havent had any chocolate in ages guess you do lose interest in all that shit jubk food.
I eat a lot of fruit though, have done since was little :)

I was saying this myself when I was at Wal-Mart the other day. It's crazy that this country only cares about "sales sales sales" and forgetting the true spirit of a holiday and selling it when the time is near. It kind of ruins the anticipation/build up of said holiday since it's already around us so early.
