  1. Right now I'm really jonesing for a hakko 456 but before I get it I want to figure out where I'm gonna put this glowing hot device down after I take the first bong rip.

I've got this incense burner that I got at the flea market a while ago but I hardly burn incense anymore. It's about 10" long inside and made of wood covered with gold paint. I was wondering if it'd make a good enclosure for a hakko, would there be a wood burning issue? I plan to attach the wand to an extension cord with an on/off switch so it'll mostly be in there when cooling down.

If there would be an issue with the ceramics touching wood what material can I put in the incense burner to sit between the hakko's hot tip and the wood? Damp sponge? Brillo pad?

  2. You know those hot plate things you put really hot food containers on? Maybe that would work but idk about the incense holder.

  3. Do you mean this? I think its made of cork, it would be convenient if I can lay it on one of these because I can just glue it down to a tray or something.

  4. I mean more of a ceramic trivet because im not sure how the cork will do with the heat.

  5. glass ashtray, microphone stand

i use both to hold my hakko

  6. dont use cork... its a type of wood. well its the bark of a tree but still, same principle.

just get a metal camping pplate.
