This is going to be an interesting thread. I know my own opinion but I also know the limits of my experience and will stand back and soak in the bits of info from the more knowledgeable with you. But just out of curiosity... do you flush your plants a while before harvesting?

  3. Haven’t used any nutes just plain tap water.

  4. Dang. Lol. How's that work? Are they like small autos in FF media. I'm fairly new to growing but no nutes!

  5. As bad as it sounds it’s just bag seeds and tap water. Other then putting them on a light schedule I haven’t done nothing but water. Was experimenting was to get a grow under my belt till I had the funds to get everything I needed.

  6. Without looking at the trichs through a scope, I'd say you still have at least a couple weeks. If you look at the buds, you've got white or yellowish hairs still standing up. Those need to be brown or laying down.
BTW......very nice looking plant, especially since it's just bag seeds with tap water and no nutes!

  7. Cool. I did something similar for my first. Tried to start 40 old mixed bag seeds and 3 germinated. 1 seedling fried on a black tarp due to the fact I forgot it there as the morning turned to day..‍ the other 2 turned out to be males but I went ahead and grew them out for the training, trimming and nutrient balancing experience. Then when I decided I learned enough from this particular pair and they had hit over 6 foot at week 9 (even though I mainlined) I chopped them down and tried to make tincture out of the leaves and pollen sacks. Maybe not super potent but I have a low tolerance anyways. Well see how they turn out. Got a hell of an education tho. Nothing compares to hands on experience.

  8. FYI tidbit.... male plants grow insanely fast with they hit a spurt. I was lifting the light 3-4 inches daily to keep up because they would start touching the light by end of day. Not sure if it was the strains or what but it was pretty astonishing.

  9. Yes that's very common. Not a sure fire way of knowing you have a male, but they typically veg much faster than females.

  10. I
Wasn't trying to say it was only characteristic of males so you could identify by that. I was merely stating that the males I grew were insanely fast growers. I actually had trouble identifying what the sexes were because one didn't show any signs of pollen sacks or hairs until I initiated bloom cycle at week 8. The other had me hopeful for a female because it threw a false positive of 2 hairs early on and as I transferred to bloom it started showing pollen sacks. Wasn't even a hermie. Just a false pos. I got to learn A LOT from the grow needless to say.

  11. Oh no I didn't take it that way. I just meant that's a sign of a possible male. I had 3 plants of the same strain a few years ago. One of them was about a foot taller than the other 2 about 10 weeks in and that one turned out being a male. After a little research, I found that males typically grow faster.
