  1. Cops Find 610 Pounds of Pot in Coffins

SALLISAW, Okla. - Talk about your killer weed. Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers found 610 pounds of marijuana hidden in caskets being hauled in a truck stopped near this eastern Oklahoma town.

The driver, Timothy G. Hynd, 26, and his passenger, Robert Dean Harper, told a trooper they were working for a Tucson, Ariz., casket company and their destination was Atlanta. They were pulled over early Friday for going 6 mph over the speed limit.

The marijuana was found after troopers were given permission to search the truck.

Hynd and Harper were charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and were freed on bond Monday. Both men said they had no idea there was marijuana in their cargo.

"Hynd is 26 and has never been in any kind of trouble," said his attorney, Donn Baker. "He was just delivering caskets for a living. He didn't check inside the caskets for drugs - would you?"

  2. Now kids, the guys made two big mistakes:

    1) Tellings the cops they could search the car. I really doubt there was any probable cause for them to do so, and it looks like they could have said no.
    2) Driving over the speedlimit with 610 pounds of pot in their car. It's ridiculous that they were only pulled over for 6 mph over, but still. If you're taking that big of a risk, don't take ANY chances.

Do you think the stop was illegal, though? I heard that radar detectors are only accurate to plus or minus 10 mph. Maybe they've gotten more accurate over the years?

In any case, I feel really bad for these guys. But really, weed in coffins? That's an idea you can ONLY come up with when you're stoned.

  3. I think the attorney has a point in case!

  4. Dead ...or deadhead...

The boss was/is probably the one whose doing it and they probably knew. Either way you can't fault 'em. A job is a job in this day an age...even if said job is carting around 610pounds of pot in a coffin.

  5. I'm pretty sure its their responsibility if they new there were drugs in the caskets. I remember my gov't teacher telling me about a law which says even if your boss tells you to do something, and you know its wrong and you still do it, all the fault is on you. It's possible they didn't know or were too smoked up to think about it :)

  6. They knew alright. Their "Boss" knew alright and the lawyer, "knows" LOL

  7. thats alotta weight.........damn...........

  8. Oh yeah...that son-ah-bitch was probably reinforced steel..top of the line in eternity crusin'.

Makes for one big fucking keef box too... imagine the mirror/screen combo on it...2x4's fine mesh in feet an a wall mirror...lol that'd be a sight. "Yo man..wanna match?" "Sure" (creeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek) "Wow..."
