Guru Needed - Soil PH problem. Please help

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by LivingLight, Jun 5, 2019.

  1. Guys I am in desperate need of some help here please.

I am 2 weeks into flower, and my run off PH is 5,5. Feed going in was 6,5. I even did a plain watering at a ph of 9 and the run off was still 5,7

Hanna ph pen, calibrated and checked

It seems I got a bad batch of soil. Now I please need some advice to get my PH right.

Last night I have added 2 tablespoons on fine crushed organic lime, but it did very little to the PH, and only raised it by 0,2 (if that)

I don't want to have to add 10 table spoons on lime per bag, im not sure that is the right way?

What can I do? Should I just PH my feeds to a very high PH and try just finish my grow like that?

And advice here would be much appreciated!

    Thank you

  2. Are your plants suffering?

  3. No, but they could be happier.
    I have attached a pic.
I love plants, always talk to them, give the rain water and organic feed etc

  4. What would you suggest I do? Any advice would be much appreciated.

  5. If I was you I'd stop checking the pH and relax, they look fine.

  6. I’m just a self proclaimed n00b but I only concentrate on the ph going in ie 6.5, my run off is ~ 5.5

  7. You sure?

  8. Look a lil over watered to me let em dry out a bit. Sometimes tryin to hard to fix a prob leads to a prob. Watch the plant you’d be surprised what conditions they can adapt too.
What’s ur ppms at? High ppm low ph run off.

  9. Of course I'm not sure. I'm not a guru but I gave you my best guess, you'll have to do what you think best.

I will have a look at EC after the next feed. Going in it was 1.3

  12. I don't know, I also don't know what watering with pH 9 water would do. I do sympathize with you, having your plants die right before your eyes after all the work and love you've put into them must be terrible.
