I have shot them, and yeah counter strike is awsome and gun type things are sweet, but i think society would be better off without them. wut u guys think?

Hmmmm. How do you think society would be better? Cars kill more people than guns, we would be better off without them. Drugs kill more people than guns, so i guess you believe in the prohibition of drugs too? Guns dont kill people, idiots with guns kill people, just like idiots with drugs give all drug users a bad name. I hunt, between my dad and myself and my brother, we own......a lot of guns. Rifles, shotguns, handguns, and none of us have killed or hurt anyone. Good luck comming to take out guns away too...... Taking a gun away is just another step in the government running your life and controling you. Like Jefferson said, we have guns as a last resort to fight tyranny and government. You ban guns, you only take them from the law abiding citizens. The black market is already saturated with guns, which enables x felons and underage people to get guns. Those guns will remain, so prohibition of guns will take the guns out of our hands, and we will be at the mercy of the police and criminals, the only ones with guns............ And please dude, dont compare real life to a video game.

Those can't be compared due to the fact that if you take an od...you're the one that gets killed...if you pull the trigger, someone else gets killed Yup...I used to think americans were crazy to support their gun laws while so many people are killed by gunshots...until I realised we actually got more guns per person here than you got on the other side of the pond...so I actually have to agree with Gilligan...you can't blame the guns...
Personally everybody should own a gun, in areas where gu ownership is high they seem to have much less crime..

Guns are more related with gang trouble and drug dealers in my area. You may get the occasional armed robbery aswell. But thats shops. As far as protecting myself, I have my hands, legs, and whatever I my carry in my pocket. For the house.. we have locks, so no one is coming in. 7 locks on one door to be precise. Haha. The only weapon I own is a wooden baseball bat near my bed. But the laws in the UK mean that even if you hurt someone who enters your house, you can get arrested for it, unless of course you prove it was self defence. Ive never seen a live gun in real life. The closest to a real gun I have, is one that shoots plastic pellets, and a disfuctional air rifle. Neither can do any damage. I dont agree with guns, but Im not gonna say people arent allowed them. Even if there were no guns, people would still be using other weapons to kill each other.
A gun has saved my life, and saved about 3 grand too. I carry a Glock .45 with me everywhere. good thing I do. Ive hit deer and elk with my truck, and its good to have something to put them down somewhat humanely. I live in the boonies, and spend a good deal of time in bear/cougar country, the pistol gives me alot of comfort. Once I was hiking to a pool on the river and happened to turn around and catch a glimpse of a full grown cougar, I fired off 2 rounds and it took off. the gun most likely saved my life. Also, I got robbed for a pound of weed, if I didnt have my gun, I wouldnt have gotten that back.
Arkansas is pretty funny, cause the law says you can't carry around a pistol unless you have a concealed carry licence, but another law says you can carry one if you cross counties, so you can basically say that you just got back from a different county and they can't do anything to you.. Oh, and it's arkansas state law that if somone breaks into your house, you can kill them, no questions asked. I believe it's also a law that if a man is putting the life of a woman or child in danger (ie) assaulting them with a weapon, sexual assault. You can kill them too..
nah guys i aint comparing guns to video games, i just letting you know yeah i liek guns, i liek shooting them, i liek things dealing with them (aka video games) now that i think more about it, you guys are right i have never been hunting and i am sure it is fun, id liek to go at least once to try it out, but do people really need guns just to have, if we didnt have guns then we wouldnt need guns for protection. What i am trying to say is its wrong that gun shops are put in places where they shouldnt be, thats what i am more against i guess...

I think you need to refer back to gilligans first post, if guns are banned only honest law abiding citizens will give them up. Australias crime rate almost doubled after they took the guns away from the law abiding citizens. If there were no guns you couldn't have a gun for protection, because they wouldn't exist. But guns DO exist, and no matter how hard you tried you would never be able to wipe them out. gunshops check peoples backgrounds before they buy weapons, hence they are not the problem, the black market is the problem which would grow if you make it illegal for law abiding citizens to buy guns. You need to read gilligans first post a few more times "fear the government that fears armed citizens"
