Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by Drucias, Apr 19, 2003.

  1. Okay, you guys have been smokin for a while and probably growin for a while so i thought maybe you could help. Can i get some help on this: I dont know what strain my seedling is. I thought maybe Sativa because the leaves are light green but I cant decide if the leaves are wide or narrow. They are like inbetween. Is it too early to tell?
C'mon guys, splash some wisdom on this newbie:p!

  2. whats this mean: Flowering plants like very high P level foods, such as 5-50-17...I am confused about the 5-50-17 part what are those sequence of numbers? What do they stand for?..HELP!!!

  3. omg, :D your screwed.
    juuuuust jokin
not knowing much about those numbers,but.... i dont think those sound right
i would dosome reading or somthing.
maybe you should be moved to the grow forum.....

    peace

  4. It's impossible to tell what strain that is.

The 5-50-17 is the NPK, it's also a flowering fert which you won't be needing til much later.....N as in Nitrogen, P as in Phosphorus, and K for whatever reason is Potassium (cause P was taken already).

For vegging you need a fert with an even # in the NPK such as 20-20-20, or higher in N like 30-15-15.

  5. Its impossible because its too young?
Hmmm, so those numbers indicate what amount of what you put into the soil. How is that measured? In ML or what?

  6. screwed........

  7. To me and my many trys looks like Sative, I've had plants exactly the same.

  8. lol im not screwed! Im keepin it whatever the breed be:)
Why am I screwed if it is Cannabis. S??? whats so bad about it

  9. I don't know how they measure the NPK in ferts, but you'll be measuring it in teaspoons for now.

There is no way you can guess if that plant is a hybrid, a sativa, or an indica....it's only a few weeks old.

Everytime I hear someone ask what strain their plant is I have to laugh...do they have any clue how many strains there are?!?

  10. i was teasin ya, for using blooming ferts......
yer not really screwed those babies are hard to kill. but i would definately read up and use the correct amounts.

    peace

  11. i say its Northern Lights 3.

    hahaha...

how the hell are we supposed to know what strain it is from that?

there are just waaay to many strains and in my somewhat limited exp of growing... its impossable to say they all look the same when young. sativas seem to start with broad (ish) leaves.

  12. Well I did not mean the EXACT STRAIN! I just meant either Cannabis I. or Cannabis S. Its koo because either way im still gonna grow it.

  13. Since the last time i posted this, the newer leaves are much wider and darker than the first ones.....Its also stopped getting taller and is starting to produce more leaves rather than shooting for the stars, there are also new leaves commin in from the sides...just thought id share with u guys:)

  14. Did you grow from bagseed? If so, how was the bud... schwag, mid, hydro? it'll probably be a cross... indica/sativa hybrid....good luck.. on the grow..

  15. Yea it is bagseed:) Hmm I dunno what kind it was but its from some of the best shit ive ever had in my life. I was seeing shit and stuff lol. Hmmm so how can you tell if it will be a hybrid?
    And thanks for the compliment:)

  16. well... your indica leaves will look like this.. wide leaves.. the plant is usually short and bushy..

  17. and your sativas look like this... long and skinny.. a hybrid will show properties of both types.. cannabis S and cannabis I... with an indica, the stone will usually be heavy.. heavy eyes, sleepy feeling.. etc.. with a sativa high it's usually real up and "gotta do something, laughing, etc.."

  18. Thanx alot! So I might have a hybrid then. It seems likely because the leaves are getting big but its also rather tall that'd be so cool lol. Hmm and all the new leaves are tinged red so i think thats cool. Thank you guys for everything....now i have to take care of these yellowing lower leaves which I think may be a nitrogen def.

    Lates!

  19. they'll fall off anyway... don't worry about it.. but lets see some new pics...
