Discussion in 'General' started by bryan oconner, Jun 30, 2023.

  1. So im known to smoke a few cigars . Ones my friend gets from cuba are damn good . Few good one in the states worth buying . I think its time to put some cigar seeds in a few pots . Opinions any grow there own tobacco ? Is it worth it to you . I will buy some
Piloto tobacco seeds what im told what they use in cuba

  2. Cigars ruin my lungs but maybe I shouldn't inhale so hard. I've tried germinating tiny tobacco seeds but couldn't get one to pop.

  3. Yeah there not really intended to be inhaled like weed or other tobacco . Dont give up buy different seeds from a different supplier .

  4. As a dare I've grown tobacco before, be warned mine was tasteless cabbage, my buddy a smoker didn't believe me years back when I dried some out and smoked it, the only way I know it was tobacco was I didn't desire a cig any more once smoked, but no taste !!!
making it taste lie a commercial cigarette is the challenge, adding the likes of hairspray, engine oil and other crap used by cig makers is a worry
I have learnt since: ciggy seeds need light to germ. so one lays them on the soil rather than in it

like with weed its all in the cure

    cheers

  7. Back in the early 90s my father in-law would grow some tobacco plants at the end of his garden, don't know what he did with them but I remember seeing how big the leaf's were on his plants.
My wife told me he would also dry them in the barn so I guess he did something with them.
He was a good farmer who severed in the 10th mountain division and they supplied troops in Italy. If alive he would of been 100 years old today.
