Growing "Weed" with my Dad's Knowledge

    I'm in college, but I am home for this fall semester cause of my Dad. I am planning on growing weed in the basement. He does not condone or want anything illegal in the house (It's okay, my mom is okay with weed).

    My plan for this is to actually grow weed, but when I harvest, I don't show him the weed as the finished product. I will show him damiana flowers I will buy online. This is the perfect plan because my Dad doesn't know shit about what a marijuana plant looks like (before harvest). So when I harvest, I will hide away the actual product, and show him the finished "product", which will be dried damiana leaves.

    I bet you he knows what it smells like. (plants really reek) and doesn't everyone know what a weed plant looks like?

    OP - I agree with the other posters, this is not the brightest idea.

    I bet that your Dad is not as "out of it" as you think. Problems finding a dealer?

    Umm. No. He doesn't really know what it looks like. He's seen it ground up, but not the plant itself. Also, weed has different smells.

    His job requires him to fill out a questionnaire that includes a question that asks if you are supporting a person doing illegal things. His only problem with it is that it is illegal, and if he answers yes, he will lose his job. No, they will not come and check to see if he is telling the truth, but my dad does it only on pure principle, which it idiocy because that question is likely meant for an employee who is harboring dangerous criminals.

    He doesn't care what I smoke, as long as its legal.

    I told my dad I smoked a few weeks ago, and he wasn't happy at all. I don't have a job, and even if I do have a job, he will monitor my account and see any expenditures and question any suspicious ones. So I will have to grow. Basically free weed. My dealers are on campus, where I am forbidden to go, so I am screwed unless I can be self-sufficient

    True. Odor is a big hurdle in covert growing. Especially with the parental units.

    does he know what the smell was because my buddy has 2 plants and you can smell them before you even get into the house.

    ^Seriously. You're buddy is asking to get busted.

    It's called a carbon filter. You can buy one or make one yourself.
    Combined with a sealed grow box it will be orderless.

    That is until you chop them. Seems to me you've never grown bud. When you chop the stem they explode with a very heavy stank you will not be able to cover easily.

    Of course it varies by the genetics. Some don't have much smell at all while growing others are overwhelming. But they all stink when you chop them.
