so i have a fan, 60 watts of flourescent lights (picking up another 60 watts today), and soil in my closet. My buddy found me 13 seeds at a skatepark. 4 germinated but the taproot sticking out was soo small it was barely noticable. i planted 3 seeds taproot down (i know im a dumbass) and one seed with the taproot pointed up. i planted it pretty deep in the soil, like an inch or an inch and a half. its my third day and theres no seedlings sticking up or anything and i have no idea what strain im even growing hahaha, anyone got any advice they can give me?
Yes, the best advice I heard early on in my first growing experience (this year) is the LITFA method. Literal translation, Leave It The Fuck Alone. It will grow, learn some more about what you're doing while you're waiting.
haha alright that exactly what ill do, got any advice on how many watts i should have or watering or anything? hahah
I have no idea. I'm just as new as you are. I do know that most marijuana plant deaths are usually related to an OVER-abundance of something. The more you pick at it, the more chance you have to make mistakes. Give it what it NEEDS (hint: what YOU need and want is irrelevant) and it will grow. Good luck!
Shouldn't of planted it that deep in should of planted it right below the soil with just a little bit covering it thats why there still is no sign of the sprout. You should use 100 ACTUAL watts for one plant and add 50 watts for any additional plants you add in. As for watering what kind of pots you growing in?
All the seeds are in the same spot? You should plant them all in separate cups like the red solo cups then transfer them into there own pots (of course when they are big enough )of your choice just depends how big you want your plant to get but it should be at least a couple gallons.
you dont need lights on it until it shows leaves. 1-1.5 inches in the soil was way to far, but if they were seeds that were meant to grow they will find its way to the top. i am currently in my first grow but searching the site/youtube you can find a ton of stuff. right now I use 4 27w cfl's on my 3 plants(1week old) but am moving them to a mh/hps 400w i got used at a hydro store(cheaper then a 4ft 4tube ho t5 you could buy at homedepot) just be patient and the seeds will grow
the more roots you have the stronger more durable your plant will be...so in a small pot let the roots build up and when its right transfer to a bigger pot!
haha alright now i know for next time, but i guess its a little late to put the seeds in their own pots, i guess i cant really dig em up and replant them
i had done a "test run" with some bag seeds a while back....i germed the seeds....planted about an inch down in the soil and made sure it was moist when i planted... 3 days later....nothing was showing....and the soil was pretty much dry..... i added some water (half of the amount of soil) and 6 hours later the sprouts were 2 inches long
