Hi, to all. I have been reading for a long time all your information for a while, but just started to grow few plants. Made lots of mistakes and finally got 4 plants 1 foot high. They look beautiful, but I am nervous. To me they mean a lot. Because I believe that I can do it. Now I just started a new crop, 4 days ago. This new plants are growing very fast and got me concerned. Some are around 6 to 8 centimeters long and growing very fast. I just transplanted them into a biger bag and covered most of it with dirt, because I was afraid that they break down due to their length. I am growing them inside with a 800 watt warm light, 7680 lumens. Sorry about the length of my thread, but I just wanted to share with you all. Any coments on this will be greatly appreciated. Oh, also I need to buy good seeds. Any information? Thanks
for seed info there is a whole section head that way and have a looksy(i have a thread there as well with my experience with one place) post some pics. and did you mean an 80 watt?
they will be fine... they can't grow too fast. If you're worried about the stalks, add silica blast to your nutrient solution; it stiffens them considerably. Also where did you find an 800W incandescent?
dont kno much on the subject yet but 2 me growing fast is a good sign lol and as 4 seeds I have been hearing great things about attitude and the single seed centre I would check out the 2nd site tho cause they sell individual seeds
very true. def check distance from lite to plant (4 a HPS I think it should b 16'') def ask some1 who knows there shit tho
Stretching is usually caused by the light being too far from the plant, they grow up toward the light because they need more of it. To strengthen the stems, make sure you have a fan on the plants blowing them. Get some good movement in the stems (not gale force!) and the stems will thicken up. I'm confused about what an 800W warm light is. High wattage bulbs usually come in two varieties, HPS and MH, HPS being the "warm" version. But I've never seen 800W. The high wattages for them are 400W and 1000W. So anyway, hopefully what you are using is in the right spectrum for a grow light.
