growing sideways

Hey Mech,
Seems like people dont want to help sometimes. I am new to the whole grow thing myself, but from what i have read, keep your lights close to the plant. As close as possible. do a search on here for a technique called "fimming". at a certain point in the plants life, you cut the new growth at the top and it makes the plant "bush" out more. Also, I think you can tie the plant over when it starts to get too tall, then the side shoots will grow more. I am not sure if you would tie it one way, leave it for a week and then tie it the opposite way.

The best info I can give you is to keep looking around and see what a search brings up . I hope I helped a little.

you can also try a scrog setup. it's simply a chicken wire screen raised about 8" above the top of the pot. then you train your plant to grow thru and around the wire rather than up thru it. it takes some patience, but just braid your stems and nodes thru and around the wire so it grows sideways instead of up. this also allows more bud sites to be exposed to an even canopy under your light for maximum bud exposure.
