  1. Hey i live in California, USA and I was wondering when is the earliest I can sow my seeds outdoors for next year? I already got some stuff going I just started late

  2. May 1st. The just sprouted seedling isn't light aware for the first 30 days and by then it's June 1st and the light is good for vegging till Aug 1st when the plant will start to flower and be done around Halloween.

    Starting before that will need to be inside and time matched to 15-9 or 16-8.

  3. As long as you germinate your seeds after the winter solstice your plants will be fine if you use natural light or mimic the length of the days with your artificial lights. As far as when to put them in the ground it comes down to when the last frost is or when your are willing to risk the effectiveness of your efforts to protect against frost damage. For me it is usually around April 1, but i have planted in March before.
