Growing/possession within 1000 feet of a school?

    Hey GC, I'm rather new to the marijuana society, and new to the Bay Area. I moved to a new house thats about 400 feet from an elementary school. I was thinking about doing a small grow come spring, but I was wondering about the laws here in California about that. Same with possession, though currently I only have 1.4 grams.

    i know for a fact you're not allowed to have anything within a certain range of a school, im not sure how many feet it is though.

    Nope. But I've heard of fines/consequences being doubled within 1000 feet of schools.

    If you get busted you will get the max penalty. That all depends on your'e state and how many plants you have. Not worth it, but nothing really is in the end.

    Sorry, but that's not the best idea. I just moved into a house. I'm not renting, or here temporarily. Its my house.

    this is coming from a guy that smokes out of a bowl he made from legos and doesn't know how to use a lighter, so take it with a box of salt ;)

    I wouldn't risk it. If you get fucked you get fucked hard. That would be life ruining stuff man, think about the risk/reward.

    Rewards: Cheap cannabis, the pride of growing, no shady dealers.
    Risks: If caught, life ruining consequences, felonies, etc, not able to get a job, loans, etc.

    I think its pretty obvious that the minor inconveniences of not growing do not outweigh the risks of getting caught with a plant.

    there may be some loop hole if it is in your own home man i would look into it. you are also not supposed to have tobacco or alcohol near the schools either but you can go drink a beer and smoke a cig on your porch.

    I've been there once at an amusment park i think it was called the gilroy gardens or some shit. Im from danville its like an hour away from there, You should get your card so you wouldn't have to worry about the authorities by the way.
