well here is the question, its fall going into winter I have windows in my house faceing east and west what are the odds of me getting anything to grow by alternating the plants from window to window throughout the day and keeping like 1 24watt cfl on it at night? (Oh and heat isn't a problem I've got central heating )
Everything I have read here on GC seems to say that windowsills are not quite enough. If you are putting some extra light on it, you may be able to pull a modest harvest. You might want to be careful about putting MJ plants in your window though, Especially if you are going to be shining a light on it at night. Most people tend to opt for a little more stealth in their grows.
Unless you happen to have big windows with a perfect angle for the sun, this is just a waste of time, and even then, it's going to work poorly at best. You just don't get that much light through a window, even a plant with moderate light needs won't do well on a windowsill, and cannabis needs more light than most.
