I was wondering about grow mediums. I have a big bag of peat moss and i have a garden i used in the past but i no longer use. Could i take the soil and the paet moss and mix them together? Or would that not work...what about just pure peat mosss. Or should i just go buy some soil? Thanks for any help.
It all depends on what's in that garden soil. If you don't know what's in that soil, you'll have to find out and that costs money. The money you spend testing the soil might buy you the soil you need and by testing the soil you also run the risk that you may still have to buy stuff to ammend the soil. However, testing soil will help you learn more about soil content and this will give you a better understanding on how to work with soil in general. The choice is yours.
Thanks man. I think i'm gonna end up just buying soil. I didn't think it was gonna work I was just looking for the cheap way out.
