Hey everyone, I have a question that maybe someone can answer? When hanging multiple lights, lets say in a 4x4 .... Do the girls see all lights as 1 big light(where I assume you would need to raise the light) or is each light stand alone....like the lights will be adjusted differently?? Thanks
If you have multiple lights, it is best to adapt them so that all parts of the plant have optimum lighting. Several articles have noted that sub-canopy lighting increases the quality of the product, which I would agree fully. I am sitting on my azz atm thinking about the best way to light my own plant, which will include side lighting. Here's an example from a past grow I did: Note the strip lighting on the sides of the tent directly lighting the plants. And this isn't the best yet; more lighting is needed, like in between the plants and under the plants, would be even better. I would also like to point out that when using extra lighting, it's ok to run them at a lower setting. The more the entire plant is illuminated, the better the bud.
30 to 35 watts per square foot of grow space. 4x4 tent= 16 square feet. Times X 30 to 35 watts = 480 watts at 30 watts PS FT @35 watts per square foot its 560 watts. Average cost for Quality LED lighting is very close 1 dollar per watt if you assemble your own lights. Its not that hard allot members can help you plus they have videos There are also SOME LED lights come out of China or Taiwan for less that members in here like. Telling do not buy LED grow lighting without making thread and post a link to the light. Tons of growers get mislead on LED grow lights. Me personally I like assembling my own lights and I Use Horticulture lighting Groups parts 4 of these plus power supplier to make your own plus plexi glass bolts QB288 V2 Rspec & Slate 2 Single Combo – Horticulture Lighting Group Or two of these a power supplier and plexi glass and bolts QB288 V2 Rspec & Slate 2 Double Combo – Horticulture Lighting Group You hang the lights they are not on a stand Phototropism & photoperiodism (article) | Khan Academy Plant Responses to Light | Biology for Majors II (lumenlearning.com) How do plants respond to light? - BBC Bitesize
Are you asking about different spectrum ? Or just different lights all the same. Both situation it wont matter . The plant will take all the light available to it. Plants dont care how far away .Edited .In the situation below To answer your question easily . Two lights .One is very far away alone the plant will stretch very bad to reach that light. There is a closer light . The plant will not stretch to the very far light only towards the closer light the plant will benefit from the second higher light . Edited second light is extra light plants love it .
Ready to add the P2500 just wanted to be sure I have it right! Thanks again to call responses Happy gowin/smokin
