my mom has an incredible sense of smell. is there any way to grow something in the corner of the basement or in my rooms closet, in such a way that it could not be smelled from 5 ft away? also can you give me an estimate for the cost to grow a small plant, 1 at a time? i am hoping to make my first grow work atleast well enough that i can subsize the cost. okay ive read a few other threads that arnt too hopeful for making smell-less grows. also.... for outdoor grows, what are the temperature ranges in which the plant can grow and bud, and is it dependent upon seasons as well? are there any cases at all that an outdoor grow might not require much work? the only place i can use is somewhere i can not access more than once a week..
Yes, its possible, however IMO is difficult. No smell and no noise means money into effective filters and no noise fans. Not to mention, its a bad idea, your putting her name at risk if you get caught. Not really, this depends on where you live, and how much you decide to invest into products. 1-4 plants isnt much difference in cost. Youll have to plant several to end up with just one in flower, as some might be male, die, or whatever. 70-80F is ideal, however this can change depending on your setup. And yes, seasons matter because its the sun that tells the plant when to flower, chances are where you live, its too late to do an outdoor grow, youd have to plant in spring. Good luck.

I have the best answer for you, but you won't agree untill your 30. Stop smoking weed until you can get your shit together and get your own place. Right now smoking weed won't help. I know I sound like a jerk. You asked for advice. R.
well theres a big difference between smoking weed and growing it...i can hold out on the ladder one until im 30 but not the former. anyways in three years ill be living off campus in college in which case i can do both. right?
Three years before you go to college? Sounds like someone isnt 18. But i would say try to grow outdoors next year. DONT grow in your parents house. They would get in more trouble than you.

Mouse, none of that matters. No matter how you want to explain and rationalize it, the folks here have it right -- you are not in a situation where you can grow right now. Anyone under 18 and/or who does not live in their own place should not think about growing MJ.

If you try it, you will get busted. If you have a car and some freedom, find a place where you can do an outdoor grow without looking sketch. No noise and no smell? it ain't gonna happen.
I feel your pain man, but everyone is right, the rents house is not the place for your first grow. When I lived with my parents I found a very discrete area near the edge of a small field near my house. I grew 5 nice females out there. When you do finally get your own place though, get or make yourself a nice cab, and rock a filter to control the smell, good luck.......
