Growing in Storage Unit?

    Trying to keep this short as possible. I’ve been growing 3 clones for the past 2 months, in my house. They are currently at around 4-5 weeks of flower each right now and only need 3 weeks more to finish.

    I’m being kicked out and won’t have a place to grow in the next 2 or 3 days. I’m planning on renting a storage unit to keep them in while they finish flowering.

    Some factors to note;
    1. I am in a medical + recreationally legal state with my medical rec.
    2. I will be going to a “Public Storage”
    3. I will be storing various furniture pieces (beds,tv stand, TV) as well to avoid suspicion.
    4. I will be buying an electric powered generator which will (hopefully) power up a total of 300-400w in total led light intake, possibly less. Just an estimate.
    5. They WILL be in a grow tent/box.

    What are your guys’ thoughts on this?? Should I keep them or ditch them.

    Terrible idea, the smell alone will tip anyone off who gets near the unit, let alone the sound from the generator and or fans.

    Sounds like a bad plan for a lot of reasons.. but here's my first thoughts;

    Generators run on gasoline, need to exhaust outdoors, and are noisy.
    It's not your property and it is still a controlled substance.

    If it's only 2 or 3 days why not just leave them in the dark for the 48 hours?
    Dont you have a friend or family member you can stick them in the basement for a few days?
    I feel like if its medical and recreational you shouldn't have an issue finding somewhere safe and legal to keep them.

    Being in a legal state and having your medical licence does not make it legal to grow in a storage locker so that's irrelevant.. there isnt a generator that you can get that will work in a storage locker with no ventilation and no power. Even if you got one itll run you about 500+ for one that would be sufficient.

    Are you getting kicked out of your house for illegally growing these plants in it? Maybe you should take a hint from karma and just toss them..

    I agree this personal grow would be a bad idea. The main problem I see is HVAC. I don’t think that there is any way to control temperatures or humidity in a storage unit along with all the other problems. For one small diesel generators are expensive and need to be refilled just about daily. It would be suspicious if you were to pop into your storage unit daily with a can of fuel! Add to that all the noise because believe me those things are loud.

    On the other hand maybe OP could find a suitable guerrilla outdoor location depending on outdoor temperature and finish grow outdoors.

    I dont understand why these guys think that there will be completely different people in each thread section and why they feel the need to start multiple threads because they think they'll get different answers

    run a generator in an enclosed space and you won't come out alive, period

    It’s ok, I just blocked the guy so I know to not help him in the future. There are some that are undeserving of advice.
