Growing in clay soil

  1. I am planning on growing out a crop in our native soil. However, this soil contains a high clay content and is, therefore, more alkaline. Does anyone know of any strains resistant to alkaline soil conditions?

  2. Moderate the clay with 50% perlite and add powdered sulfur to lower the alkalinity down to a range more Cannabis friendly.
My soil and water are both high PH and the Sulfur dealt with it quite well. A tablespoon in each hole at transplant was the fix here.

  3. Thanks, BNW. I know about using sulfur to lower soil Ph when it is too alkaline. I believe Sulfur has to be added the season before, as it takes time for the sulfur to break down and affect soil Ph.

I was just wondering if there are strains that are inherently resistant to alkaline soil?
