I am planning on growing my own for the first time, and I have an old (50s) refrigerator in my basement that seems like it would be an ideal place to set everything up in. I want to make sure that I'd be able to ventilate it enough before I get started though. My plan was to leave the door very slightly cracked and run a fan inside-- I figure that would get in roughly as much fresh air as an exhaust fan, but still enable me to control the heat and humidity. Does that sound about right to folks?
lMind some plants smell strong!! Best to keep the door closed and use a carbon filter. http://forum.grasscity.com/indoor-g...esel-ryder-autofem-grow.html?highlight=dieselhttp: //forum.grasscity.com/outdoor-grow-journals/728732-2010-outside-monster-grow.htm
Thanks for all of the advice, especially the link! I was actually hoping to avoid drilling a hole in the fridge, since it's a borderline antique-- hopefully leaving the door cracked will provide enough CO2. Stealth is not a big issue, as I own the place (and the fridge is in a pretty inconspicuous area).
You know you can make a homemade CO2 generator... I belive yeast and sugar mixed in water will produce CO2. DIY CO2 generator - 420 Magazine
